Description: | |
This is number eleven in a series of page swaps I will be hosting with a nature-theme. The theme for this swap is reptiles and amphibians. I'm thinking, frogs and toads, gekos, salamanders, crocodiles, turtles, etc. Nothing too creepy. I'm gonna say no snakes, just because lots of people have issues with them. :) Please keep in mind that for this series I'm thinking more traditional, relatively realistic, or vintage botanical/animal images, rather than "cutesy" or scrapbooky interpretations (although some scrapbook embellishments may be tastefully incorporated). Designing a page in this style is pretty basic. Layer your main image over "found" paper such as a sheet of music, a dictionary page, ledgers, the cover of a farmer's almanac, or vintage-looking scrapbook papers etc. Embellish your page with relatively realistic or vintage images, stamping, numbers/symbols, postage stamps or cancellation marks, text/found poetry etc. And don't forget to include a 3-D component to make your page "chunky." Finally, you should lightly decorate the back side of your page, and include your contact information. Make 1 4X4" chunky page for 1 partner. Leave the left 1/4" free of chunky embellishments for binding. If you have any topic suggestions for future themes, let me know! |
