Annalena

Hi! My name is Annalena, I just moved back home to Germany after 8 years in the US. I also recently finished grad school and I live with my little Frenchie Alma (I'm definitely a dog mom so I love anything dog - or just animal - related). I love making journals and learning new ways to bind and sew them. I also love making ephemera and paper crafts in general. Alma loves to help with/walk all over my craft projects lol. I've recently been getting into more mixed media art and have been experimenting with acrylics, watercolor and photography. I'm also trying to connect more to the outdoors again so I've been collecting plants and working on a little herbarium to incorporate into my crafts. I'm constantly trying new crafts but the biggest challenge is staying with them and actually finishing projects. I had to take a little break from swapping because of the move but really was to start again now that I'm settling in :)

I love junk journaling, bookbinding, felting, sewing and really anything with paper. I do a lot of thrift shopping and collect old books to use for ephemera.

I LOVE anything vintage (especially victorian or edwardian), gothic/creepy, cottagecore, mystical, kawaii, animals/forest-themed. The journals I make are mostly nostalgic and have some kind of vintage theme or feel.

I collect books (especially old/vintage books) for ephemera, sheet music, paper, lace, trim, anything I can use in journals really. I also collect playing cards, postcards and ATCs. I love collecting little trinkets, anything cute and/or odd.
