I'm so glad to be back on swap-bot. I have several health conditions that I have been struggling with for several months. It's taken some time for me to get back on my feet. But I'm here now. Thank you for understanding.
I am a transplanted Brit living in the US for more years than I can remember. Though I have been back and forth across the Atlantic a few times. I am 65 years old. I love art, music & nature. I have been creating since my childhood and have never stopped. I took care of my mother until she passed away last year at the grand old age of 98! I have three adult children & four grandchildren. I live with 2 cats—Molly 10 years old she's a torbie and Bella 4 years old who is a tabby. They both love bouncy balls, crinkle toys, balls that have bells in them or make a noise. As for treats, they like fishy treats. I love being close to nature. It is soothing and calming in my often hectic life.
FAVORITE MUSIC
My favorite music is The Beatles, Enya, Secret Garden, Celtic, Phil Collins & movie soundtracks. My tastes in music are rather eclectic.
FAVORITE BOOKS
Some of my favorite books are Pride and Prejudice, the occasional Star Wars novel. I often enjoy non-fiction. The Hiding Place & Gift from the Sea are two of my favorites. I do not read romance novels.
FAVORITE MOVIES
There are so many movies that I have really enjoyed--Chariots of Fire, anything Pixar, Pride & Prejudice, Winged Migration. I enjoy Disney movies too.
TELEVISION SHOWS
I don’t really watch many major network series. I have found that I really enjoy Korean dramas & comedies on Netflix. My favorite K-dramas are Crash Landing On You, Crazy Love, Hospital Playlist and Vincenzo.
FAVORITE COLORS
I have loved colors since I was child. I remember loving the vivid colors of stained glass windows. I still love stained glass. My favorite colors are red, purple, blue, green. I don't like neon colors.
FAVORITE ARTISTS I do love Van Gogh. The first time I saw one of his paintings I was enchanted with his rich, vivid colors and thick brush strokes. I also love Monet's water lily paintings and his garden at Giverny. Leonardo. Da Vinci is another favorite. He was a genius. Japanese woodblock prints are absolutely beautiful.
THINGS I LOVE
In no particular order: Tea: peach, raspberry & hibiscus, lemon; nature related items, the Lake District of England, sea shells, England, Scotland, Wales, Italy, Switzerland, China, London, Venice, Paris. I would love to travel the world! I love to receive something that is unique to your country. I also love mountains, bullet journals, journaling, washi tape--please no neon colors, vintage airmail or postage, maps, red dragons, dragonflies, postcards, sea glass, sea pottery, glass beads, old things, vintage photographs, masks, things that are made of wood, foreign newspapers, vintage postcards, foreign postage stamps, favorite birds- sparrows, owls, penguins, puffins, European robins, favorite animals-hedgehogs, foxes, wolves, cats, tigers, pangolins, elephants, orcas (killer whales), photographs of stone statues, photographs of large old trees, ancient forests, handmade things, old travel posters. I love flowers and botanicals. I know that is a long list, but hopefully it will give you some ideas about me. Thank you.
THINGS I DON'T LIKE
Please don't send me any feathers-I'm allergic to them or strongly scented items-I'm sensitive to their aroma. I'm also really sensitive to cigarette smoke, no offense meant to the smokers out there. :0) I would prefer not to receive gothic, darkness, things that come in premade craft kits-it doesn't allow you to expand your own creativity, anything cutesy, celebrity related things, or liqueur filled chocolates.

Thank you for the nice message. I am at the park waiting for a friend. Enjoy your day!
