Helllo dear swappers!

I hope you are well and that your life hasn't been turned upside down because of Covid. I am still working full time in a secondary school and have seen many of my colleagues unwell with it. A few students tested positive too which has been quite disruptive and worrying for everyone involved.

I have , fortunately, been keeping busy with knitting and crochet. I have also made advent calendars for 3 friends this year...

To keep active, I jog about 20 minutes a day, while walking my dog...or should I say, while running my dog!!!😁

After reading quite a few other profiles, I realised I had not told you much about myself, just facts!

I find it hard to describe myself but I' ll try! I enjoy being quiet, reading a book (cookery, crafty, or simply a good story), reading profiles on Swap- bot!, writing letters or my diary, sewing, knitting...depending on my moods...

When I am in the mood, I go the opposite way and turn the music up, dance in the living room and am bubbly, daft, chatty, gossipy even!! I enjoy cooking with cream and chocolate. I don' t believe in diet foods, I always read the labels and am not a fan of E numbers or low fat food! I hate diet drinks! I think it is important to eat properly, without excess and have a real treat every now and then! I enjoy my food.

I garden with my 13 year old son and a wonderful friend. We rent 3 allotments and grow constantly during the months of February to November! We use the lasagna gardening method! Check it online, it' s magical and very easy! ( no digging!!!). We have been very successful. We garden weekly! I love growing vegetables, my favourite being French beans, leeks, tomatoes and potatoes. We grow lots of berries and make jam, jellies and crumbles)

I enjoy Home & Away, Neighbours, MKR ( My kitchen Rules), I' M a Celebrity, Get me out of Here!!, The Great British Bake Off, Who do you think you are?, Long Lost Family...and comedies, and love stories!!

Hate watching sport on TV, especially football and tennis ( feels like the same game over and over again!)

I love most musics, not too keen on Opera or Heavy metal but like anything in between. My favourite band/ singer are Yothu Yindi, Ed Sheeran, The Beatles, Abba, and French music. Playing Vivaldi in the car at the moment!

Really enjoyed reading A town like Alice and Head over Heels by Sam bailey.Also love the Bridges of Maddison County. Lately, I have been reading boring books, I need some inspiration please, I don't like anything gory or violent. Just a good story, well written and moving.

POSTCARDS : I prefer a naked postcard with one landscape view ( day or night time) or a recipe on the front. Please, write the date on it and your 3 favourite places to go to ( on holiday/ vacations)! I " stole" this one from somebody on this site so thank you, it' s a good idea!! Please, don' t send me dull coloured postcards, like beige or white and very light yellow... They make me sad!...Take me with you on your travels! Show me the sea and the land and the food you are discovering!Thank you!
