About Me My name is Merna and I am 31 years old. I live in central England (Birmingham) with my husband and our cat. I'm actually much more of a dog person but the cat seems to have adopted me. I'm atypical in many ways. We are a polyamorous family and I am a practicing Pagan. I don't work due to disability and have guaranteed disability support until 2012. I hope it continues after that, but if not, I will have to venture back into the world of work somehow!

Favorite Music Music is a difficult one for me. I don't really appreciate it very much. I find it difficult to listen to as it evokes too much emotion.

Favorite Books My favourite author of all time is Terry Pratchett. I own a copy of every word the man has ever published. I do like to read others though - namely Joanna Harris and Cathy Kelly. Anything in that lane will make me a happy puppy!

Favorite Movies Movies are one my favourite things in the world and I'm as fond of 18 rated horror as I am of Disney and Pixar. I love anything with a supernatural theme though, and love The Exorcist and the Omen movies. Constantine is another of my favourites. I have quite a collection of 'comic book' movies. Hellboy 1&2, Van Helsing, V for Vendetta, Watchmen, The Matrix movies, Marley & Me, Lolita, Saving Private Ryan, Amelie, are all favourites that aired often - alongside Mulan, Hercules, Aladdin and Kung Fu Panda :)

Favorite Television There's not alot on current television that I enjoy but I will watch gardening programs and home development programs avidly. I tend to have amassed a selection of TV viewing on DVD, so to give you an idea: Friends, Frasier, Dexter, Supernatural, Six Feet Under, Shogun, Medium, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel are all box sets I own and are watched pretty much constantly in the background - especially Buffy!

Favorite Crafts Anything with yarn is made for the win! I'm a newish crocheter but an old time knitter. I like to scrapbook but the inspiration has to hit me hard lol. I have lots of jewellery making kit and enthusiasm- just not alot of experience!

Likes/Dislikes I would be thrilled to receive: Steampunk items, anything Victorian / Victoriana, ephemera, pottery/ceramics, handmade ornaments, animals (especially dogs), asian influenced items, mini scissors, fibers, scarves/hats/gloves, purses and reusable grocery bags, jewelry, lip balms, windchimes, interesting newspaper articles, anything to do with Hades (the Greek God, not the place!), plus sized dress patterns in any style, vegetable seeds for the garden, anything to do with gardening really, yarn of any colour or persuasion, any books articles or other items pertaining to spirituality. I am fascinated by attempting to live a frugal lifestyle too, so anything on / about the 'simple life' or eco living would be met with love. I do want to point out that anything I receive will be met with gratitude that I have been thought about.

Favorite colors include shades of blue thru green-like the ocean, rusty colors, smoky blue, golds, burnt oranges, reds, metals. Actually I can't think of a color I really don't like. I do like smoky or aged colors over bright colors.

Dislikes:
Rude people. Sour items/sour candy. Prefer silver to gold tone jewelry. I must point out that I am diabetic, so please don't send me full sugar items. Sugar free stuff - it rocks!
