I live in Las Vegas, I Have been married to my husband 30 years. I have a girl 23 and a son 21. I have a morbid fascination with the zombie apocalypse. My favorite color is orange. My husband and I are very into classic cars, we have a 1946 willy, 64 ford galaxy wagon and a 66 impala ss. We have 3 large dogs, two are Akitas and the third we inherited from our son, she's a Bernard, boxer and pit mix. We also have my husbands 2 pot belly pigs, 2 ferrets and a very cranky parrot. Luckily we have a half acre lot. I am an intermediate seamstress, I can sew pretty much anything. I also paint, embroider and collage. . I have a huge collection of fabric, zippers, handmade envelopes, paper, stencils, findings buttons etc.
In my late 30's I started having numbness and twitching episodes in my left hand which over time progressed to include my entire left side of my body. I went to at least 20 different doctors about it and they all concluded that it was a pinched nerve from a horrific car accident I had 15 years prior. I did not agree, my body was not right something else was wrong. My husband also felt it was something more. We went to the Mayo Clinic and had numerous tests same prognosis no clue. I pretty much was resigned to being a gimpy person in pain. My husband was not going along with that,he found a doctor who went through all my records actually went through my symptoms journals had me basically walk up and down his hall, and weirdest of all write out several paragraphs and draw some things. His conclusion which ended up being right was that I have early onset Parkinson's disease. I cried for maybe 5 minutes and then I realized I am glad to at least know. What don't kill you makes you strong. I am so thankful for my husband the love of my life, my kids and all my furry animals.
