My name is Sarah Friedrichs. I'm 19 years old and live near Salt Lake City, Utah. I started working for the United States Postal Service at the only Remote Encoding Center in the United States on 05/02/2015. My job is similar to data entry - I simply look at images of mail that USPS warehouses send in that the computers can't read and do my best to make sure illegible and improperly formatted addresses get to where they need to go. Through my short time working with USPS I've found Postcrossing and now this website.

More about myself... I love video games, drawing, arts and crafts, learning new things, being around animals, cooking, photography, mythology and other cultures, music, and so on.

As far as animals go I am obsessed with Foxes! I also really love red pandas and wolves, and horses will always hold a special place in my heart (I was that horse-obsessed little kid in my younger school years). I currently have a cat named Nymeria and in about a month I will be getting my Panther Chameleon.

I also love fantasy creatures, especially dragons, griffins, fairies, and so on. I adore fairy tales.

I'm doing my generals in college and want to do something relating to video game or media design, but more than anything I want to travel the world.

I'm new to all of this and have a lot to learn, and more crafts to work on in regards to mailing creative things... Now that I am no longer with my abusive ex I can actually do fun crafty things without him yelling at me. I will happily accept anything you wish to send me, and promise I will send something equal to what I receive in return. ^~^

I love all sorts of crafts. I haven't been able to do them until lately and I no longer have all the supplies I need, but after I get my Panther Chameleon in a month I will be able to purchase supplies. :3 I'm currently able to do cross stitch, shrinky dinks, drawing and painting, etc. When I get the money I'll buy stuff for making stickers, washi tape, making envelopes, and so on. I know the very basics of crochet but I need to relearn it, and I'd also love to learn how to knit.. if you have any good resources let me know. (:

Anything I don't know how to make, I want to learn!

After starting my job at USPS the first swap-related website I found was Postcrossing. I'm extremely excited to get postcards from other countries. I'd of course love any postcard you may decide to send me but right now I would most enjoy touristy ones, specifically of where you live (whether it is the town/city, local tourist attractions, or even something that represents your state or country). I want to travel the world, but seeing as how I am only 19 I've got plenty more school and saving up to do before I can make that dream come true... so postcards are the next best thing. (:

It's hard to name my FAVORITE movies, but I can say I absolutely adore anything by Studio Ghibli (especially Hayao Miyazaki's films!). I grew up watching Spirited Away, My Neighbor Totoro, Kiki's Delivery Service, Castle in the Sky, Howl's Moving Castle, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, The Cat Returns, and Whisper of the Heart. Similar movies that I love (that aren't by Studio Ghibli or Miyazaki) include The Girl that Leapt through Time and... Well I can't remember at the moment... But I'll figure it out later. :3

As far as non-anime movies go my favorite movie as of right now is probably Big Hero 6. It's just so darned adorable.

I'm a huge fan of Adventure Time, and I also enjoy anime. My favorite anime of all time has to be FLCL (or Fooly Cooly). Other favorites are Mushi-Shi, Air, Elfen Lied, etc.
