I am a retired office manager and private secretary of a large electronics servicer in the Seattle area. I have four great children and two granddaughters. My two daughters are my best friends and we do a lot of fun things together and have zany birthday themes with lots of games and prizes. I've been making and sending cards to friends and family for many years and it is one of my favorite hobbies. I love doing personal cards for people with special embellishments for each occasion. I make my own envelopes and like to coordinate the colors and shapes. I like lots of good books, TV, music and e-mailing. I love writing letters to friends and to soldiers. I've received some nice answers from some stationed in various countries..I also like the sunshine, gardening, holiday decorating, scrapbooking and enjoying my family, friends, home, and patio..

I listen to jazz most of the day on my computer, but like classical, 'moldie oldies,' boogie, big band, blues, some country, easy rock and just about everything except rap.

I read all kinds of books...mysteries, romance, biographies, and usually have a stack of them from the local library.

I have an all black kitty name Pi and she is my constant buddy. I've always adopted all of my kids' pets over the years and she is the last one!

I like documentaries, The History and Discovery Channel.Seinfeld, Jeopardy, all the CSI shows, Alias, , NCIS, British cop shows, major league baseball, football and a lot of PBS and Masterpiece Theatre programs, Discovery, The Learning Channel, etc. I rarely watch daytime TV.

Things I don't really care for: Smoke tainted articles, Gothic skulls, etc.

Things I like: Old postage stamps, stationery, colorful note cards, stickers, colorful shaped brads, beads, pens, little animals, rocks, tins, post cards. Chocolate, sugarless gum, mints, ribbons, cardstock scraps and papers, trinkets, card trims, embellishments of all kinds, and anything that adds to my card making fun.
