22nd June Update: My PC fell victim to a nasty piece of poop malware thing and has been dead for a while. I'm now trying to catch up on messages and postings so if you're due something it will be posted tomorrow (I couldn't get on to get addresses). ARGH!!! >.<

I'm relatively new to the whole "crafty" bit but I have a lot of eclectic interests including working out (I actually enjoy it, go figure lol), teaching my kids how to cook and reading odd books.

I have three kids (all girls, aged 12, 11 and 5), I'm a parent governor, I'm currently studying for a science Open degree from the Open University and hope to become a countryside ranger, and also volunteer as often as I can with a wildlife trust on top of everything else.

I always aim to give out a rating as soon as I receive things, just because I'd like people to do the same with me. Doesn't always work that way though lol ^_^

After reading some profiles, I'm editing this a little so bear with me... :D

Pretty much anything...I can go from Metallica, Muse and Disturbed to Abba, Queen and Hank Williams without taking a breath so generally if I like it, I'll listen to it. :)

Anything with words in, practically! :D

Science fiction and fantasy are my easy favourites (when I get time to read), followed by the occassional Mills and Boon if I feel a bit flirty and girly (not very often then lol).

I've been a cross-stitcher for years but its rare I have the time now, and since it takes so long to do, it takes me ages to finish large projects.

I also dabble sometimes in scrapbooking and other papercrafts (such as origami or kurigami), but I'd like to really get into them as they are a lot of fun. I've also just discovered ATC's and ADORE them!!! I think I'm addicted... ;)

I also like sewing - another recently discovered pleasure that I didn't expect to enjoy. I found myself saddled with making two costumes for my older girls (shinigami Rukia Kuchiki from Japanese anime Bleach and Boudicca, Iceni Queen) and had to make the clothes from scratch. After that, I quite liked sewing and I'd like to spend more time doing that too (and general other fabric crafts).

I also like drawing anime figures. Everything I draw - no matter what it is - always looks a bit cartoony so I thought if I can draw anime, it would be easier. And...it is! :)

Since the list for stuff I don't like is really short, I thought I'd do that first... :D

I can't stand girly girl stuff, so pink and glittery is out for me. I'm kind of like a human Land Rover (muck magnet lol), so pastel colours are out and I break things very easily so nothing too delicate or fragile. I don't like classical or jazz, chocolate (crazy, huh?) or anything rose-scented. And PLEASE no religious monotheistic things, since I'm a staunch Atheist. Pagan and Norse things are okay since polytheistic religions are something I evolved with... ;)

What I do like is fabric, ribbons, buttons, thread, anything to do with cats (wildcats like lions and lynx types, not ordinary domestic cats), anything to do with art or Japanese anime (Bleach is a particular favourite), vanilla scent is my favourite, or pretty much anything as long as it isn't pink and girly. :D

I'm new at this, but I'm hoping to learn as I go along.

I'm still building a stash of different bits, but ideally, I'd love to have:

• Fabric (any type or size as long as it's not scraps)
• Buttons, ribbons and beads
• Scrapbooking or paper
• Rubber stamping stuff
• Embroidery stuff or kits
• Wool.

I didn't have much detail on here before I did a swap, so I thought I'd add it because I'm not really saying anything about what I collect...doh! :D
