I am in a Midwest girl through and through and live in the Chicago area.

I have a sweet and spoiled little Shih Tzu that is my furry companion. It may sound sappy, but she helped to make me the person that I am today.

In the past year I have purchased a new home and gotten engaged! We have not set a date yet, but I'm having a blast gathering wedding ideas.

I'm new to swapping, but very excited to get started! I love connecting with other people and seeing what they create!

I love music, but tend to get stuck in the 90s when it comes to that.

As of late, if I'm in the car, though, I have been listening to podcasts on a wide variety of topics.

I am an avid reader of books, blogs, magazines and pretty much any kind of media that i can get my hands on.

To choose a favorite book would be difficult, I think.

I tend to gravitate toward thrillers and memoirs.

I love TV and movies. I'm a reality TV junkie: Housewives, The Amazing Race, and Survivor, primarily. I'm finding myself drawn to more and more cooking cometitions - especially if they involve Alton Brown. I'm a big fan of The Walking Dead (both the comic and the TV show).

I love using my hands to create art and crafts - I'm up for trying anything once (at least). You never will never know what you can do unless you try. I love crochet, Zentangle, and paper crafts, in general.

I can't even get started on my wahshi tape addition/hoard. :-)
