Ten Things
I'm Canadian, living in Taiwan
I have a daughter Jaylene (age 6) and a son (10 months, birthday April 9).
I've lived here for 9 years and my Chinese is still quite poor :(
I love sparkly things.
I find myself drawn toward bird images lately.
I'm beginning to sew, very novice at it!
I want to learn how to play the piano, draw, bead necklaces, take better photos, knit/crochet and learn more Chinese.
I love stripes and polka dots.
I'm trying to cook more (healthy, vegetarianish)
We like to share international goodies with Jaylene's class (around 20 kids) Things like coins, small flags, candy (individually wrapped), postcards, small statues (that represent your country). It really helps the kids (ages 1.5 to 7) have a more international awareness.
Bits and Pieces Hmmm, something that shows that my sender thought about something special for me. That she snooped around online and got to "know" me a bit.
Likes: I collect candle holders and art supplies. I adore boxes and bags and all types of stationary items.
I like vintage, retro, and unique items... one of the things that I enjoy about the idea of this swap is that everyone has a different style and it's a fun way to get out of my regular groove and be inspired with something new.
I'm really into paper arts and bookbinding. I love making scrapbooks and cards and all that. I'm starting to get into beading (mostly necklaces). I would love to learn how to sew or knit or crochet but I don't follow instructions well. I've also started digiscrapping.
I live in the land of Asian cute so I don't need any of those kind of goodies. I'd prefer something different and not as easily obtainable. I'd love something cultural that represents your home town. That being said, Kuromi is starting to win a spot in my heart.
Checking the mail is my favorite part of the day so a fun package full of surprises sounds divine. Anything carefully chosen will bring a smile to my face =)
Dislikes can't think of anything that's off limits for me.
But perhaps a note about packaging would be helpful. It's very hot here, so if you send melt-able edible goodies please double bag them in zip up baggies.
I've received packages in the past with chocolate melted over everything. Soooo gooey!
