Knitting and fiber dyeing are all about stress relief for me, and I'd like to make more time for it in my life.

I started knitting in 2005 to relax while juggling grad school and working fulltime, and dyeing in September 2006 or so. Socks are my latest obsession. While I like solid shades, I adore handpainted or semi-solid yarns.

Hot drinks: I love coffee and sugarfree cocoa, but am not a big tea drinker.

I am watching what I eat pretty seriously so please don't send any yummy treats. It's too tempting :(

80s/90s music (Pat Benetar, Duran Duran, Billy Idol, Madonna, some dance music), alternative from that time period, big hair heavy metal :)

Knitting and Dyeing... would eventually like to learn to spin but that won't be for a while, given my schedule

I LOVE natural fibers and am curious about some of the bamboo, soysilk, sea silk, chitin yarns out there. I do not care for novelty yarns at all, especially eyelash or muppetlike yarns.

Color preferences: plums, blues, greens, ocean-y colors, and rich earthy colors (wine, chestnut, golds, pine greens).

Color dislikes: Neons, rainbows, shockingly bright purple and orange/pea green/mustard colors are not my colors :)
