Update-June 19,2010 I have had a lot of health and life issues lately so some swaps are getting mailed a day or two late. I really want to send quality swaps so please bear with me for the time being. I vow to make sure that you get a fun, quality swap.

I am the mother of 7 children- 5 adult and 2 still at home. I also have 3 grandchildren that I love to spend time with. My husband and I also are the proud parents of 5 dogs (4 are rescues) and 3 rescue kitties. I have a cockatiel that is also a rescue. I have done obedience training with all of our dogs and would like to do some trick training. I collect all things frog- figurines, bookmarks, keychains, etc... if it has a frog on it I collect it.
I am fascinated by hummingbirds, butterflies and eagles. I plan my gardens around attracting hummingbirds and butterflies. I recently moved so I am starting all over with my landscaping. Before we moved I had two special gardens- one for my frog figures and stepping stones and another for my angel figures and stones. I almost forgot apples. I love decorating my kitchen and dining room with apples. It sort of gives me Christmas all year long! We live near several state parks and spend a lot of time hiking as a family. This allows me to fulfill my love of birdwatching and photography.

I listen to all kinds of music and enjoy everything from classical to country to rock. I would have to say that my favorite music comes from musicals. I love folk music and Pete Seeger and Peter, Paul and Mary are my favorite artists. The only music that I don't care for is loud, angry music with foul language.

I love to read and will read about anything. I would have to say that my favorite authors are Jennifer Chiaverini, Jeanette Oke and Beverly Lewis. I also love children's and young teen's literature. I guess that I would have to say that my favorite book is Good NIght Moon.

I am not sure that I really have a favorite movie but there are several that I could watch over and over. The Legally Blonde movies were fun, The Santa Clause series is another that I love to watch over and over and The Princess Diaries movies are a big hit, too.

I am not much of a television person because I would much rather be doing something creative but I do have a couple of favorites. As a family we watch Wheel of Fortune (which has probably been my favorite game show for as long as I can remember) and The Secret Life of an American Teenager. But, truly, my favorite all time television show was Lassie. I loved that show so much that I cried at the end when Lassie held up her paw.

I love to quilt and sew and just recently learned to crochet. I also love to make my own cards with rubber stamps. I am forever taking pictures of everyone and everything and have tons of scrapbooks that I am working on. I enjoy embroidery but not counted cross-stitch.

Update- now that I have been on swap-bot and done several swaps I am adding something to my likes. I really, really love it when people write a note on a postcard. More than just a hi-here's your postcard for swap "X" and my name is "swap member". I go back and read those messages so please feel free to write a note on the back of your postcard. I like fishing, hiking, camping and playing in the snow. I love flavored coffees and teas. Green is my favorite color but I also like red and teal. I love eating ethnic foods. I love vintage fabrics and traditional calico prints.

I dislike loud angry music and foul language. I also dislike horror movies and shows with fighting and killing. I am not big on wintergreen candy. I do not like itchy fabrics or big floral prints. I am not fond of skulls or anything that depicts violence.
