My grandmother owned a yarn shop until she passed away in 78. I was teenager. I learned to knit, crochet, tat, petite point, rug hook...you name it if it envolved yarn, I have done it. Her sister taught Home Ec., sewing, and all the things that pertained to home and hearth. One of my earliest memories of knitting and crochet was teaching my 3rd grade class to knit. Currently I am in love with Loom knitting, someone bought my daughters some of those knifty knitter things for a 8th or 9th birthday...they looked fun, they are fun! I now have several custom looms, my daughters are quite accompished loomers now. Our big thing now is to take regular patterns and work them into looming. Also, now I have a job with a commute for the first time in my life...it is a short ride but about 10 minutes. I have picked back up crochet. I currently have 3 WIP's with my hook, a bag, a dog bed, and dishclothes! My loom WIP's are a sock...(i just can never get the second one done!) a mitten (same reason!) and a prayer shawl.
