Hello Swaplovers!!! I am a twentyeight year old passionate and enthousiastic young woman. I was born in Geneva, but raised by an american mother... and both cultures define me... I have lived my whole life here in Switzerland, but I try to go to the U.S. as often as I can afford... but it's never enough! I am in University at the moment (grad student, or someting like that), and I study classical archaeology ant ancient history. I love travelling and discovering foreign cultures. I am mostly attracted to asian, near eastern and north african civilisations... What fascinates me most are rich mythical religions and legends; I find it so thrilling to study!
For international swaps, please be patient if you live outside of Europe; packages can take up to 15 days or a whole month to get to you! (It apparently even took one and a half month once to Singapoore). I will never hit the "items sent" button if it isn't actually already in the mail! And I hope I will always be able to send items on time; if not, I will PM you to let you know! So if time goes by and you don't get anything please let me know!
In my free time, I enjoy sitting at my kitchen table and creating things with my own two hands. When I was younger, I studied Fine Arts, and I guess it just sticks to me... I used to do alot of painting, but as the years went by, I started to have a preferrence for creating "usefull" things, as opposed to just decorative objects. And I try to put my artistic sense in everything I make... I started with "pimping up" pieces of furniture (such as lamps or tables) and then went to making some out of cardboard. I also do some scrapbooking, but my latest passion is sewing. I mostly make bags and purses, but I am always open for a new challenge!
It comes now to music... What can I say?! I live my life to music!!!! I listen to all kinds of music... no matter the style, as long as the song is good! To give you an idea, here are some of my favourite bands or singers: No Doubt, Sublime, Rise Against, Prince, Marvin Gaye, Jason Mraz, NTM, Within Temptation, Stereophonics, Pennywise, Pink, Metallica, The Beatles, The Who, Deportivo, La Mala Rodriguez, Alanis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, Blur, The Beastie Boys, Bowling for soup, Weezer, Dashboard Confessional... Well that should do the trick to let you see a glimps of my musical horizons...
As far as books go, I don't really have time to read for myself anymore... I have so many books to read for school, that it makes it difficult! But, I must say that I have read "The lord of the rings" several times and I really like all of Paul Auster and John Grisham's novels... Besides that, I love poetry: Byron, Shakespear, Baudelaire, Verlaine, Rimbaud... Ho!! And I have tones of cooking books! But of course, I don't just read them... Yes, I love cooking too (should that go in the "favourite crafts" section?!)
There are soooooo many too!!! To give you an idea, my fiance and I possess about 1400 DvDs... I would say my top 5 is: The Princess Bride, Mad Love, The Prestige, Gladiator, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang...
I'm gonna go with the top 5 for this section too: Ally McBeal, How I met your Mother, That 70's show, Battlestar Galactica, Rome...
All types of paper and scrapbooking supplies, beads and buttons, pieces of fabric, lace and ribbons, colourful fabric, stationary, candles and anything scented, flower and herbs seeds, cooking/baking receipes or anything typical from forein countries and kawaii goodies... I love geckos in my kitchen and butterflies in my bathroom... I love TEA, but send me "tea time" accessories rather that tea bags (I already have so many different kinds!) I like a colourful world but I just love contrasts! ... I just love receiving gifts... You could just as well surprise me with anything that fancies your imagination! I can find a use for anything and everything!
Food, perfume, animal pictures (such as dogs and cats) and religious propaganda (it's just not my thing, no offense!)...

An extra thanks to the lovely package I just received from you. (I just want stuff in an envelope swap). I will be trying out the Lemon Carrot recipe soon. It is nice to try a non gluten recipe that makes vegetables a bit more exciting. Did you make the little bag? It is gorgeous and very well made. You have real talent.
Kind Regards, Kay in new Zealand
