Hey there! I'm Melissa. I live in sunny Florida with my DH and 6 year old son. Other members of our family include 2 very sweet cats, a crazy Jack Russell Terrier named Smokey Bones, 2 anoles, various fish and insects, and occasionally a gopher tortoise we call Spot.

I am really looking forward to participating in some swaps. They look like a lot of fun and great way to meet some interesting people! It is amazing to see all the different types of swaps that are available.

Card making and scrapbooking are my two main crafting interests. My scrapbooking tends to center around my son and all things "boy" so card making gives me a chance to do more "pretty" crafting. Love butterflies and dragonflies and my favorite crafting colors are pinks and purples.

I like to travel when I have the chance. Also like to spend time outdoors camping, hiking and kayaking.

I like to read what I call mindless, girly mysteries. Evanovich, Grafton etc....... Very entertaining but don' t require too much thought. Kate Collins is a new fav, as well as, Blaize Clement with her Dixie Hemingway character.

I watch way too much TV!!! My favorites are anything with Mike Rowe in it or narrating it.....SERIOUSLY! Dirty Jobs, Ghost Hunters and Deadliest Catch top the list. Also like Top Shot, Storage Wars and Amazing Race.

Likes: Herbal teas - hibiscus tea will earn a heart! Pink or purple pattern paper Butterflies and Dragonflies

Dislikes: chocolate - I love chocolate but in the Florida heat it tends to melt and I will get very frustrated trying to devour It as I walk from my mail box to my house. :)

Misc. I collect bells. My hubby and I have a shot glass collection. I thought he collected them and he thought I did. Before we realized neither of us collected them we had a nice collection from around the world! We have continued our collecting.
