Hi there, my name is Lucy and I love yoga, swimming, cycling and walking in the countryside. I am very interested in aromatherapy and natural beauty products. I like flowers and pretty things. At the moment I am quite into Japanese food and cooking although I love cooking all types of food. I am a fairly artistic and creative person but do not spend enough time being so...I am hoping joining this site will encourage me to spend more time creating!
My favourite colours are blues and greens but I also love purples, pinks and reds. I am a colourful person and like to wear lots of coloured clothing and jewellery (not all colours at once though!)
I live in a small town in the centre of England called Kidderminster with my boyfriend and my cat, Bumble.
I am very much a people person and my friends and family are very important to me.
My favourite authors are Margaret Atwood, Anne Tyler, Barbara Vine, Joanne Harris & Haruki Murakami. All of these authors write captivating books in very different styles and I have loved everything I have read by them.
Other books I love are The Lord of the Rings, 1984, His Dark Materials, Carter Beats the Devil, Snow Falling on Cedars, Rebecca...there are many more that I can't think of right now!
I am a big fan of dystopia themed books - intelligent dark futurescopes....I am not sure what this says about my personality!
I am a big fan of good quality Sci-Fi and Fantasy although rather sadly I find that the quality of these genres is very variable so I am always interested in recommendations of good reads!
I also like reading books about nutrition, natural beauty, the environment, yoga, health and nature.
I don't watch much TV but programmes I love are Northern Exposure (old but I watch it on DVD), Heroes, Never Mind the Buzzcocks, Peep Show. Anything featuring David Attenborough and Michael Palin who are my absolute TV heroes.
I like all kinds of music but I would say that Indie and Rock are top of the list. Favourites include The Rolling Stones, The Flaming Lips, Led Zeppelin, Joni Mitchell, Arctic Monkeys, Kings of Leon, Editors, The Strokes, The Verve, Richard Ashcroft, The Beatles, Sigur Ros, Nick Drake, The Enemy, Placebo, Paul Wellar, The Coral, Supergrass, Paul Simon, Pulp, Amy Winehouse, The Cure etc.
I love music festivals.

Candles, Incense, Essential Oils - Scents I love include Vanilla, Coconut, Rose Geranium, Cinnamon, Patchouli, Sandlewood, Carnation, Clary Sage, Eucalyptus and Jasmine
Soaps of all kinds (but I prefer natural smells not such a fan of fake fruity smells)
I love pictures and models of toadstalls and mushrooms and looking at real ones even though they are one of the few things I can't bear to eat
I love cooking, recipes and interesting kitchen equipment.
I like all things of an Indian or Morrocan style - in particular fabrics, ornaments, pictures, candle holders
Interesting handmade objects
Handmade jewellery
Pretty little trinkets such as keyrings, handbag accessories
I love cute stationery like the stuff they sell at Paperchase
Animals, pictures of animals, stories about animals

Like most girls I like make-up, bags and shoes although I'm not the most girlie girl!
The Shawshank Redemption, The Lord of the Rings, It's a Wonderful Life, North by NorthWest, The Shining, Time Bandits, Stand By Me, Lost in Translation, Sideways
My current favourite crafts are crochet and painting & drawing. I am particularly fond of pictures of flowers. I am currently doing an evening course in Soft Furnishings. Another favourite is beads and jewellery making. I also love ceramics but have not done any for quite some time.
