Hi my name is Zoe. I recently turned 20 but my friends and family joke i was born 80. I've always been drawn to Vintage jewelery and clothing and i'm utterly devoted to instant film. In highschool we were required to take part in a charitable knitting program constructing rugs for the homeless and since then i've always found knitting a relaxing and enjoyable passtime with most of my finished products going to a good cause. I often buy and alter clothing but my sewing skills aren't that stella, so i'm looking into taking a sewing course sometime soon. Its sad that mail snail mail is a dying form of communication, these days the only mail i get is from the Commonwealth Bank trying to get me to sign up for a 5th credit card.
I like all kinds of music In fact i'm really excited to share some 'mix-tapes' with people and see what others are loving. Even though my friends may be the ultimate bunch of indie music snobs it'd be nice to find something of my own.
I have a Polaroid camera collection that if it continues to grow will eat me out of house and home. I'm prone to whip out the knitting on the bus/train/at work on break (which gets me a few strange looks being a bartender and all). I really do like to draw but it's something i haven't had enough time for these days.
My favourite book by far was 'Rich Man, Poor Man' by Irwin Shaw. I read it while on holiday in England last year competing in the Henley Royal Regatta with my University Rowing team. The woman running the bed and breakfast gave me her copy i was reading as a momento. It's tattered, torn and dog eared but i love it.
My favourite movie, hands down is Amelie. My move tastes divide down the middle depending on what i'm after. While i will watch alot of SBS late night foreign films, i also love to indulge myself with shit 90's classics like 'Ten things I hate about you', 'She's all that' and the lesser known but fantastically predictable 'Drive me crazy' which features Melissa (Sabrina the Teenage Witch) Joan Hart.
Gilmore Girls. Own them all. Love them all.
