A little about myself: I am currently living with my boyfriend on the outskirts of Pittsburgh, but a city girl I am not. I grew up in the country and that's where my heart will always be. I love being outdoors! I also love my job; I am a Prekindergarten teacher and have held that position for five years. I can't imagine doing anything else. Nothing beats being a teacher and helping to expand the young minds of children. Some of my hobbies include reading, writing, nail art, baking, sewing, scrap booking and jewelry making. I love to create. :)
I could listen to music just about every minute of every day. My mood dictates my choice in music. My favorite band is the Beatles and I love anything from the 50's and 60's. Because I grew up in the 90's, there's a special place in my heart for the grunge, pop, and alternative rock of that decade. My broad taste in music includes Enya, Sinatra, the Doors, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood, the Cars, aahhh the list goes on and on. :)
I have enjoyed to read since I was a small child. My favorite book back then was Green Eggs and Ham and it still is to this day. Some other favorites include Harry Potter, everything from David Eddings, Alice in Wonderland, Nightworld series, the Secret Circle trilogy, the Vampire Diaries series (the originals-not the ones based off of the tv show), any fairy tale book I can get my hands on.
Some of my favorite movies include the Princess Bride, Labyrinth, Moulin Rouge, Jesus Christ Superstar, Pirates of the Caribbean, Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Lilo and Stitch, Hook, Back to the Future, the Ghostbusters, the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies, Nightmare Before Christmas, Coraline, the Corpse Bride.
I enjoy watching Once Upon a Time, Grimm, the Walking Dead, Revenge, Top Gear (UK version), and Resurrection. I also enjoy old 80's/early 90's cartoons: Rainbow Brite, the Care Bears, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...
Some of my "favorites" include ice hockey (Pittsburgh Penguins all the way!), zombies, penguins, palm trees, Tinkerbell, sunflowers (although really I love any kind of colorful flower), the Beatles, Dr. Suess, Halloween, fireworks, tye-dye, stars, otters, shoes, the General Lee (love them good ole Duke Boys), chocolate, fairy tales, purple and pink, sweet tea, vintage (I was born in the wrong era), and 1956 Chevy BelAires.
