I live in the beautiful Upper Peninsula of Michigan, love the outdoors, dancing and crocheting. I have taught both line dancing and couple's dancing. I am a Certified Zentangle Teacher, so I love tangling, as well. I have also started to play with art journaling. I am new to the swap world and eager to learn.
My boyfriend and his son, originally from Florida moved to join me here in the UP a few years ago. We enjoy outdoor activities including hiking, cross country skiing and camping together. We are also fond of various computer and other electronic gadgets.
I love chocolate. I typically eat vegetarian, with some fish at times.
We share our home with 3 quirky kitties.
I am from a family of 5 siblings, with 3 very close sisters. We love to get together as often as we can and enjoy crafting together. We have recently started a traveling art journal between the 4 of us.
Crocheting, making art with Zentangle, art journaling, card making, making ATCs. I have also done some knitting (hand and machine), drop spindle spinning, beading, and cross stitch.
In my art journaling, I have used acrylic and water color paints, matt medium, alcohol inks, stamps, markers, photos, tape, stickers, and just about anything else that would fit in a journal! I liked to include different kinds of papers, from old books, magazines, sewing pattern tissue, ribbons, etc, etc, etc. I love trying new techniques.
I prefer natural colors and like the "distressed" look, or shabby chic. I am also fond of turquoise and almost any shade of green.
The steampunk look interests me.
With yarn crafts, I prefer cottons and acrylics, because I have an allergy to wool.
I also enjoy hiking, biking, cross country skiing, camping, and being outdoors in general. I am a great life-long fan of the Green Bay Packers.
I am a collector of pelican things, although I have so much now, I should probably stop. :-)
I am fond of cats, birds, and all animals, for that matter and anything related to the out-of-doors such as trees, leaves, flowers, plants, lakes, the ocean, etc.
I like to read historical novels, self-help books, books about making art, and older fiction (e.g. Jane Austin). I prefer books about more common, everyday lives, and not so much about mysteries or murders.
