Hello!

My name is Fallon. I'm 31, and live in Maine with my husband and our son. My husband and I are both medical lab scientists, but I am in graduate school for wildlife management.

We have lots of pets: a dog (Ollie), 2 cats (Mochi and Pepper), 4 tarantulas (Princess Petunia, Chili, Minthara, and Gideon), and some isopods.

I'm mostly here to collect postcards. My collection is enormous! I have every continent except for Africa, which I'm still hoping for one day. I have fibromyalgia and POTS, so I am exhausted most of the time. Between my more limited mobility from fibro, full time work schedule, and parenting a preschooler, I am not able to travel much (especially in a pandemic now, ugh). So, postcards are my way of vicariously seeing the world through others until I can hopefully do so myself.

I log my postcards in a spreadsheet to keep a map of where all they are from, so if you wouldn't mind putting your city and state/country on it, I would be forever grateful!

However, I am getting back into trying crafts these days, even though I don't think I'm very good at it or very artsy. I am trying to get back into sewing, embroidery, crochet, cross stitch, and other thread/yarn crafts.

I love birdwatching, nature journaling, rockhounding, reading, puzzles (jigsaw and word/number/picross), video games, spending time with my kiddo, traveling when possible, cooking, baking, and trying out restaurants.

I'm a non-binary, bisexual leftist and I am passionate about both conservation and human rights.

If you've swapped with me before, you probably knew me under the name Rachel (hence the username from like 13 years ago that now I can't change). I legally changed to my (previous) middle name a couple years ago. Sorry about the confusion!
