I'm a college student in Wilmington, North Carolina. I'm majoring in Studio Art with a concentration in ceramics. I love the ocean and I'm an avid shell collector. I'm lucky enough to live at the beach! I also love to travel anywhere and everywhere possible. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE SNAIL MAIL. I can't wait to join in on some of the post card swaps, I would really love to get some international ones. I have a dachsund Lucy who I absolutely adore. In case you were wondering why my username is RedRachel...that's because I have Red hair! And freckles! I have been Pippi Longstockings for halloween too many times. My favorite animals are turtles. I love summer camp, I was a counselor at a camp in the mountains for two summers, best times ever! My favorite colors are GREEN, blue, any combination of green and blue, pink, and yellow. I cant think of anything else to add here, if you want to know just ask!

I love all kinds of art, especially the lesser appreciated form: crafting! I've been knitting for years but I'm just now starting to venture past scarves. I recently learned how to cable so that's been an exciting adventure for me. I love pottery, it's my passion! I also dabble in sewing and I have a couple of scrap quilt projects going right now. I like to make clothes but I dont have the patience for patterns, I just sort of figure it out as I go along. I am obsessed with prints! Most of my fabric stash is some sort of print. I like flowers but I tend to stay away from older fashioned prints, I like bold and graphic! One exception is toile, I LOVE TOILE!

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE is my favorite book of ALL TIME! Jane Austen is a GENIUS and my favorite author. I love her other books as well but P&P is def my favorite. I also really love To Kill A Mockingbird, The Lovely Bones, all the Harry Potter novels, any of David Sedaris' books but my favorite of his is Me Talk Pretty One Day, All We Know of Love, The Poisonwood Bible, The Secret Life of Bees, Twelfth Night, Much Ado About Nothing, A Walk In The Woods, Into the Wild

PRIDE AND PREJUDICE!!! I love the old BBC version, the new Hollywood version doesn't hold a candle. I also love all the other Jane Ausen movies, mostly Sense and Sensibility and Northanger Abbey. I love period films in general, especially the romantic ones. A Room WIth a View, Jane Eyre, Anne of Green Gables. I'm also a musical fanatic, both theatre and film. My favorite musical movies are: Singin in the Rain, My Fair Lady, Moulin Rouge, The Sound of Music, The Wizard of Oz. These are just the top of my list. I LOVE MOVIES!
