I am a mother of six (5 boys & 1 girl) and a bunch of grandchildren! (currently 11 we still have one son who just recently got engaged who may give us more grandchildren) I have an amazing husband who is my best friend and sole mate.We live in Louisiana and we both have our entire lives. We did live in northern Maine for just over a year but I am just not a snow/cold/freezing type person. We love everything about being in the warm south. I don’t mind visiting places with snow just can’t do it 24/7. We love to travel, and with 5 out of 6 children being out of state we always have reason to go somewhere. I used to own a local scrapbook store and going to work every day was like going outside to play. I LOVED every second of it. After six amazing years it was just not in my cards to keep it going. I miss the amazing friendships I made at crops, weekend events, and classes. I truly love helping others preserve their memories. Travel, Family, Friend or Friendship, Birthdays, summertime, beach, (actually all the seasons) all the holidays, these are the things I scrapbook the most. Oh, and sports we have at least one grandchild in every sport, (except hockey)lol. The only thing I think I don’t scrapbook is pets. We had a dog when our children were young, but after she went to heaven we just didn’t get another pet, mostly because of traveling.

Scrapbooking is something I love dearly! I love lots and lots of embellishments and tons of things on my pages. I want them to pop out when someone opens one of my books. I use lots of metal things, brads, ribbon slides, lots of ribbon, tons of tags, big vintage buttons, washi tape, flowers, scraps of colorful fabric. And as crazy as this sounds, I love random 3D letters, like chipboard, acrylic, metal, plastic etc. I love to mix and match them when making titles and sayings.

Journaling is another hobby I really like. I like to keep my own calendar and colorful side notes, stickers, anything that relates to what I’m putting on the calendar. My friends look at my calendar I carry in my purse and they say it looks like a scrapbook not a calendar.

I LOVE card making! I think receiving a personal handmade card with your own personal note is a beautiful way to let someone know how you feel. I’m a big envelope decorator too, for me getting pretty mail is a big part of what is being mailed, whether it’s a card or a package, it needs to LOOK good the second the receiver gets it in the mail. So, stationary of any kind is another think on my like list.

Also, I am a very beginner in Quilting. I’m working on my first quilt now. I think it’s all the fabric I love the most, it’s kinda the same with paper in scrapbooking...I just want all of it!

I like country music, anything chocolate (snickers, kit-kat bar, M&M) Diet Coke and Peach anything! My favorite thing to watch on TV is the Hallmark Christmas movies!! My faith in God is a very important part of our lives. I have a new LOVE for Lantern Press postcards and notecards! Some are so beautiful that they could be in a frame like a piece of art! My collections are: 1) Souvenir Spoons. I try to get one anywhere we’ve traveled. My kids are good about helping me collect them too. I have never travelled out of the country so everything I have is from the USA. 2) Enamel Pins/Hat Pins. What started out as picking one up here and there is now a full on collection. I love decorating my bags, lanyards, aprons, etc. 3) Giraffes 🦒—- I JUST LOVE THEM! Anything giraffe! 4)Heavy duty vinyl stickers. We put these on our coolers or other travel things. I like to see where we have been, or get a laugh, some are from friends to remind me of them. I’m really looking forward to swapping and making new snail mail friendships.
