I have a fondness for all things magical. I think that is because I have been forced to live through Harry Potter for the last 12 years. (I have a 24 year old son) I am probably really into textures as well. I am a fan of vampire and witch series which have a little paranoriam feel. Lastly I like decent historical romances.
I found out that I love hand coloring my ATC's with stamp ink. I have a bunch.of them because I am a card maker. I am also a fan of heat embossing. There can never be enough ink is my motto. I am starting to get into Zentangles. I picked up a book where you start with a rubber stamp image and then kind of free draw from there and add some Zentangle patterns. I could really see myself doing those. As well as the Alphabet swaps. Definitely like those. But I also like color so I love COPIC markers added to them.
I got into swapping because I love art but frankly strictly with drawing I have some opportunity for improvement. I think I have an eye for good pieces. I joined a glue book journal group and the members all did other thing as well. One lady made ATC's so I picked up my paper cutter and away I went. She mentioned she had over 2000 and I could just not imagine. Well I definitely see how that could happen now.
I love sci fi. My favorite old school movie is " imitation of life" with Lana Turner. I like the Alien series with sigourney Weaver. And I LOVE vampire movies and shows. I have pretty much seen them all.
Instant gratification of course. I am not sure why I love them so much. when I was younger I loved having pen pals, now this is just my creative way to have pen pals.I love the fact that you can grab graphics from just about anywhere and make them work. I have chose not to trade those ATC's I receive from others. So I have 2 books so far, one for swaps I receive and the other for those that I create. where I really struggle is being about to take pictures of all my work. I want to go to a public swap but I know I need about 200 cards to trade walking in.
Although I am primarily an ATC maker now I still continue to buy paper. I mean really?? How many 12x12 packs does it take for me to know it is enough. I keep promising myself I can only buy once a month but that goes out the window the minute I am in the store. I also work with a lot of scrapbookers and I can use most of their scraps. So literally I should never need to buy another piece of paper. : ) Yeah right, good luck with that.
Just so everyone knows, I can barely draw stick figures. I am definitely a collage/embellishment/coloring artist. Now with this said I do like "pretty things" so I tend to use bright colors or pictures of people. I use a lot of boing as well in my art. I just got into copic markers so my coloring standards have been raised a bit. I am also into zentangles now. Mostly the alphabet ones but I have also seen some cool ones that you can do incorporated with rubber stamping, which is definitely my thing. I don't want anyone to be offended my not getting a hand drawn ATC because I will not enter those swaps at all. I am just not that gifted.
I am NOT HIGH maintenance. I am a very go with the flow type of person. I am not a planner and I know thT drives some people crazy ( specifically my child) but I am also not driven crazy by those people who want to plan out every waking minute of the next month of their life. To each his own, that's my philosophy. I kind of take the stance that LIFE is what happens to everyone else while you are trying to PLAN. I think it's amazing how personal people get with their comments on this site. I feel like I want to remind people we are all human beings, treat each other as such.

You wrote "Hi
I owe you from a very old swap. If you can provide me your address I can get this out within the week. If you are don't want the make up. That is fine as well.
Thanks Shaunda"
Haven't heard back from you as of yet.. People like you ruin swapping for others. You should be ashamed of yourself.
@DixonShaunda Double profile.
Hi there! Just checking in with you to make sure you got your Julie Nutting Prima Paper Dolls swap from me yet? It's been sent for a little while and want to make sure it got to you safely! :)
The section you wrote on your profile 'Paper Junkie'... yeah that's me too. I have more paper than I will ever use! But I STILL go into the craft stores and pick up more. lol
Thank you for making the game of thrones atc swap! I'm starting it tonight! And yowza, 2000 atc's is a lot!!
Hello from Utah!
As someone else here said, I am "jealous" of your ATC abilities. I love the concept behind them and have dabbled in them. I am not an artist but do enjoy using computer graphic or 3-D stickers to make my ATC. And NO ONE ever has enough paper....or ribbon...or markers.....or anything! That's what makes this hobby so wonderful....you can take something plain and turn it into something beautiful!

Hello from England!! I enjoyed reading through your profile, & am terribly jealous of your ATC making! I wish I had the time & the patience to make ATCs.. but I wouldn't even know where to start! Paper crafting is something that I've never really gotten the hang of because I have quite a short attention span & get easily frustrated haha!
I know exactly what you mean about promising yourself not to buy any more paper.. but then losing all willpower once you enter the store. I'm exactly the same with stickers! I think we should blame it on the stores.. they're so provocative & enticing ha! ;)
Hello and greetings from Finland! :) It's nice to see you like ATCs, I love them too, but recently I haven't had time to participate in any -- they take so much time to make (since I want to make them pretty) and free time is something I rarely have these days! I guess, because of having so little free time (8 months old son, 8 weeks old Corgi puppy, two cats and I'm pregnant again and due in July, and my husband spends very little time at home), I have turned into one of those people ''who want to plan out every waking minute of the next month of their life'', nice to hear you won't be driven crazy ;) I already have heard ''you're nuts'' so many times, haha :D
