I love Postcards, used and unused, vintage and new.

I am addicted to scrapbook paper and stationery. I use scrapbook papers for collaging and making my own envelopes.

I love vintage ephemera or anything for junk journals.

I like leather and lace, and pearls and pretty beads for embellishments.

STICKER SWAPS: I'm ok receiving holiday stickers, even if the swap says no holiday stickers allowed. I prefer Christmas and Valentines but am open to receive others as well.

I don't like childish stickers/reward stickers. There are some kid stickers that are really cute but I don't like childish ones. No princess, etc. unless it looks more grown up.

EXPLANATION FOR RECEIVING A 1 RATING: It was for a postcard swap, and I received a message that my partner never received it. I responded and told her if she didn't receive the pc within the next week, I would send her another one. On March 29th, 2022, she sent me a message saying it still had not arrived. I responded and told her I would place another one in the mail that day, which I did.

Soon after, I fell ill and was not on swap-bot again until October of 2023. I did not know that I had a 1 rating until then. I have no problem resending anyone a card that they didn't receive...even if it supposedly happened twice.

My reputation, integrity and ratings are very important to me. I would never flake on anyone. So I will do whatever it takes to redeem that 1.

UPDATE DECEMBER 17, 2015 Because It's Christmas, I've been very generous in my ratings with the Christmas Cards Swaps. I've given hearts to every single person I received a card from whether they deserved it or not. I now wish I hadn't done that because it's not really fair to the swappers who really put forth effort to make it special. By special, I mean TAKING time to WRITE a note more than ONE SENTENCE. Extras don't mean as much to me as someone who takes time to share something about themselves, etc. or shows an interest in me. I've sent out around 200 cards this year and I do my best to make every single one special, even if I've been partnered with the same person 8 different times. That's my rant.

****UPDATE**** DECEMBER 3, 2014 After taking a few months off, I'm back. I noticed I have a 1 rating which I just saw today. I have sent the rater a private message and have addressed the issue and will be resending the item in tomorrow's mail. I will be rejoining the Adventures of the Traveling Postcard for which I have in my posession a postcard belonging to Kristina from Hungary. ***************************

I'm a Virgo. Christmas is my favorite holiday. I love baking, photography, traveling, exploring, and learning new things. Learning how to create mail art is my new obsession. I love the 1930's and 1940's glamour and style. (pin-up girls, WWII) I collect vintage postmarked postcards and piggy banks. One of my passions is photography and I am a member of a camera club. I love boots, gloves and stockings. I have an interest in astrology, numerology and anything paranormal. My favorite black and white movies are The Imitation of Life and Mr. Death Takes a Holiday. I like all kinds of music but mostly new wave from the 1980's, as well as Rock N Roll, and Country. I love Billy Idol, U2, The Cult, Jesus & The Mary Chain, Dinasour Jr, etc. George Strait, Toby Keith, and Kenny Chesney are my favorite country artists. I love the southern states. My favorite is Tennessee. It feels like home to me. I love southern cooking and southern hospitality. I am a huge animal lover, especially dogs. I hate to admit it but I do watch reality tv. I am hooked on Jerseyliscious and all the real housewives except Miami, New York and Atlanta. I still watch Perry Mason and Murder She Wrote. My favorite cop show is Criminal Minds and I also watch ID channel religiously. I like most cooking shows such as Master Chef, Top Chef, Next Food Network Star, The Great Food Truck Race. The truth is, I watch way too much TV but I like it. My celebrity crush is much younger: Eddie Cibrion, Josh Hartnett, Channing Tatum. Celebrities who push politics are a complete turn-off. Oh, did I mention that I love to journal.......writing is what I love to do. I especially love writing letters and receiving them as well. I love snail mail.

I also love big hair 80's. Slaughter, Warrant; Cinderella, Candlebox; Poison; Winger, Quiet Riot, Twisted Sister.

Classic Rock: Bruce Springsteen, Led Zeppelin, The Doors.....

Country: Mostly 80's and 90's. I love George Strait, Kenney Chesney; Toby Keith; Reba MacIntire; The Judds;

I also like classic country and some of the new country.

Some new alternative such as Muse, Arctic Monkeys.

I'm not very crafty but I do love making my own envelopes and sometimes I doodle, although I'm a work in progress.

I LOVE books!!!!!!! Mostly I read non-fiction and I prefer themes. Right now, I'm on a spiritual kick so most of my books are on tapping into intuition and communicating with spirits and the angels. I tend to also buy books about writing, books on sexual subjects; books on success and leadership, etc.

I like to read romance such as the books that Nicholas Sparks writes.I also like suspense and psychological thrillers. Harlen Coben is one of my faves.

True Crime: Many authors. Glenn Puit, especially.

My favorite postcards at this time are Roadside Attractions. You can see my postcrossing site for ideas on what I like. I also like motels, diners, etc. as well as route 66 and ohter touristy cards. Not much into landscapes unless there are cows or barns or some sort of life in them.
