I am a camp counselor. I have a love of the outdoors and of simple handicrafts. I tend to make a lot of plastic string key chains, as well as beaded and woven bracelets. I love to crochet, knit and sew, although I am not very good at any of them. I enjoy trying most things and constantly need to keep my hands occupied.

I also work as a music teacher, so musically themed things tend to make me very excited. I am a flute player and a classical singer.

I am not a n extremely outgoing person, but I do like to interact with people. I enjoy bright colors, and especially shinny things.

I love classical music and country music. I tend to prefer pieces that have imagery to them, so things like the Firebird Suite, or Copland works. But all in all, I enjoy almost every type of music, and I am willing to give something a try, especially if I have never heard of it before.

I love science fiction books, as well as some fantasy and some (a very limited some) romance books. I love stories that I can get into, and I truly love when I feel like I can just step right into another world, time, or life.

If given the option, I would choose a book over television, or a movie, or any other form of media.

As I said before I love to knit and crochet. However I taught myself so I don't know too much, in fact I can only do basic patterns. If anyone has any Basic patterns that would be helpful I would greatly appreciate it, As well as any easy-to-read beginning stitch books for knitting and crocheting.

Otherwise I love making simple handicrafts especially those that you find at summer camp. I enjoy making swaps keychains necklaces bracelets and other small beaded items. I learned most of the crafts I enjoy through the Girl Scouts so a lot of my crafts have nature or environmental themes to them such as recycled materials or reused materials.

I tend to take inspiration from the natural world. I'll do a lot of things based on this; trees, water, etc. and I also like to do activities and crafts that are meant for children. I love to make things like small stuffed animals and give them to friends.

I have also recently started using yarn and plastic canvas in order to make jewelry boxes. I stitch them and shape them like houses, cars or other interesting items. I can completely customize them and I truly enjoy doing them.

All in all the crafts I like to enjoy our ones they keep my hands busy.

I don't have many things I collect. The things that could be considered are my CDs, and my musical instruments. I love to collect handmade instruments even if I don't know how to play them or use them. Currently I have a collection consisting of bamboo flutes, wooden flutes, ukuleles, guitars and other concert band related instruments that are very old and very good condition.

I love small instruments especially ones made of shells, wooden boxes or reused and recycled materials. I especially love it when I can use the instruments and figure out how to play them.

I have a few hobbies include playing music being outdoors and my crafts. As listed above I work for the Girl Scouts so I spent a lot of time outside. Because of this I love to hike I love to camp and I love to cook things over campfires.

The Music I love is music that I can create. i enjoy making instruments and using instruments. I also enjoy learning songs, especially music that has been passed down through the years. A few years ago I took music that was close to hundred years old through the Girl Scouts and archived it into a songbook, which is now used at the summer camp I work at.

I also love to work in the kitchen. I enjoy baking but I do not enjoy cooking. I have a few recipes that I love but I wouldn't mind getting a few more and trying some out.

Please don't send anything scented. I don't have bad allergies, but the people who I live with do.

Please no dolls. I have never been a fan of dolls, and frankly they freak me out. However, animals, and amigurumi are perfectly fine.

Please nothing for scrap booking (it does not interest me in the least bit)
