My name's Aimee and I'm 21. I'm the mommy of the most perfect two year old little girl and my perfectly adorable fur baby, Luna who is also two years old. I'm also engaged and will soon be marrying the most remarkable man I have ever met. I love to craft, but still don't really know how to get myself started. My step-sister has completely sparked a love for scrapbooking, and crafting in general, and introduced me to swaps. I love the idea of creating something and sharing it with one another, or meeting amazing people through pen pals, or other written or e-mailed swaps. I love sharing myself, my creativity, my love and my life with other people.
On top of all of my hobbies, being a full time mommy and a part time employee, I'm hoping to go back to school to get my masters degree in psychology to help children and teens work through the tough stuff in life. I like to think that the things I have experienced can help me help others and I love sharing my life and my story with others.
****BIG NOTE HERE: I have ZERO time to craft when I'm toddler free, because of this, my daughter has taken an interest in what I'm doing. I rarely hinder her from being involved in anything, so some of my items may seem a bit "childish" (if I let her pick a theme, colors or stickers) or they may be doodles on with the artistic ability only a two year old could posses. IF THIS BOTHERS YOU please don't hesitate to let me know and I will do my best to plan a time to myself to do any of my swaps.****
I love anything that I can start on Netflix, and finish a few weeks later, then need to re-evaluate my life because I just spent a few weeks doing nothing but watch Netflix. That being said, I loved Breaking Bad, How I Met Your Mother , and I'm terribly behind on Supernatural, but I love that too. I'm also patiently waiting for The Walking Dead to come back and Pretty Little Liars. I also like Teen Mom 2, 16 and Pregnant, Catfish, Awkward, Faking It, House Hunters and pretty much everything on TLC and the Food Network.
I will honestly read anything you put in front of my face, but I could probably re-read the Harry Potter series over and over again until the day I die. I thouroughly enjoyed the 50 Shades trilogy and the Hunger Games books. I liked the Twilight series (but absolutely refuse to see the movies). I've read every book Sarah Dessen has ever written, and enjoyed all of them and aspire to read all of Stephen King's novels. I would also like to read all of the books John Green has written. I also completely exhausted my local libraries selection of non-fiction books about serial killers and mental health stories.
Clearly there is absolutely no genre of book I won't read.
Like the books, I could watch all of the Harry Potter movies over and over until the day I die. I love most Disney movies as well as Pixar (having a toddler definitely has it's perks). Among my favorites are Despicable Me, Monster's Inc., Cinderella, Beauty and the Beast, Snow White and The Little Mermaid. I will forever be a fan of Johnny Depp's and love every single one of the movies he has been in, but Alice in Wonderland and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory top the list (Tim Burton is a damn genius).
As far as genres go, I like horror movies the most.
I love crafting, but I'm really new to the whole crafting world. I like to do little things I find on Pinterest. I'm DIYing my whole wedding and have my Save the Dates almost completely done. I would like to explore other worlds, like scrapbooking, boxes and other things to really explore my creativity, and push my creative limits.
Likes: 1. Penguins! 2. As if I haven't made it disgustingly obvious already, Harry Potter 3. Owls. 4. Anything related to outer space (Saturn is my favorite!) 5. "Vintage" keys 6. Gears 7. Skulls/sugar skulls 8. Coffee 9. Cala lillies, Lily of the Valley, and Orchids 10. Celtic crosses 11. Tim Holtz EVERYTHING.
Dislikes: 1. Flowers (with the exception of those listed above) ^^^there aren't very many things I don't enjoy...
Interests: 1. Religion fascinates me. How people view the "same" things so drastically different blows my mind and I love learning new things from new religions. I was raised Catholic and currently do not practice a specific religion. 2. Other countries and cultures. Again, the different ways people do things is fascinating to me. I love different cultural traditions, fashions, and anything. In particular, I love Japanese fashion, and anything Asian is wonderful. Because of my curiosity of my heritage and where I truly came from Irish, Polish, German and Dutch cultures really fascinate me. Any other country is right up there, however, there isn't much I wouldn't love to learn about the rest of the world. 3. Psychology and the human mind. There is no limit to my fascination with the way the human mind (and any other part of the human body, for that matter) operate. I do aspire to get a psychology degree, someday, and any bits and pieces I can learn or discover along the way are lovely. 4. Outer space! Along with my love for other cultures, the fact that I know approximately 50 miles of one state well enough to say I'm comfortable drives me insane. There is SO much world out there to discover and so much outside of the world to discover. I love reading and watching videos about the solar system, and other systems that are yet to be investigated. I am a firm believer that there is absolutely no way we are the only living species out there and there is nothing that could thrill me more to still be around when they are discovered. The way the planets operate and the way they are formed and the way they change is just so wonderful and beautiful to me.
