Hi! My name is Amy and I'm 30 years old. I'm married and have two little boys. Caden is six and just starting kindergarten. Shepard is three and starting preschool. I'm a stay at home mom, but I also have a side business making primitive Raggedy Ann dolls, as well as teddy bears, bags, and anything else that strikes my fancy. I love to read in any spare time I can find and will never go a day without at least an hour of a good book! I also adore baking, photography, sewing, and pretty much anything crafty related.

Sewing is my current favorite and what I decided to make a business out of. I'm relatively new to the craft as I only learned to sew about a year and a half ago. But I think I've gotten pretty good in that time and absolutely love it!

I also love doing embroidery projects in my free time. Mostly I do inspiring wall hoops to hang, but I'm also interested in making candle mats and possibly pillows in the near future. I'm always looking for unique patterns or inspiration do develop this hobby.

I'm not sure if this counts as a craft, but I've also recently become interested in chalk paint. I have a few pieces of furniture that have been distressed perfectly, which inspired me to paint my own bookshelf and shelves. Anything I can do to make my home more personal, I love to do!

1. I LOVE giving and receiving presents. :)
2. My favorite colors are green and pink.
3. I love shabby chic/cottage type decor.
4. Fall is my favorite season, probably because my birthday is in October.
5. Christmas is definitely my favorite holiday.
6. I'm totally obsessed with fabric. I already have way more than I need, but I'm always buying more.
7. I've made sewing my "career choice," but I enjoy embroidery in my free time.
8. I'm a small town girl all the way. I love my little town of 4,000 people and getting anywhere in town in five minutes or less.
9. I love polka dots.
10. I collect Raggedy Ann dolls. I love vintage styles as well as handmade primitive styles.
11. I love personalized jewelry. My favorite shops are Lisa Leonard Online and The Vintage Pearl.
12. I love, love, love books. Any and all.
13. Donkeys are my favorite animal.
14. Baking is one of my favorite pastimes. I used to want to own a cheesecake shop.
15. I love searching through thrift stores and garage sales for the perfect treasures. It's one of my favorite things to do!
16. I don't drink coffee, but I really like spicy flavored teas, apple cider, and hot cocoa.

I mostly read fiction, pretty much anything that's in the top seller lists. I also love inspirational fiction. My all time favorite book is "Redeeming Love" by Francine Rivers.

I'm kind of obsessed with cookbooks. Baking cookbooks are my favorite, though I'm trying to branch into more general food cookbooks so I can actually find ideas for dinner! My current favorite is "Joy the Baker."

I'm also interested in books that help me with crafting or sewing. Doll making books, teddy bear making books, embroidery books, etc.

And finally, I like to read books that help me grow as a person. Not necessarily self help books, but books that write about being a better mom, wife, etc.
