PLEASE REMEMBER I'M POSTING INTERNATIONALLY TO ANYWHERE OUTSIDE THE UK SO MY SWAPS MAY TAKE A LITTLE LONGER TO REACH YOU THAN DOMESTIC POSTINGS. PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOUR CARD DOES NOT ARRIVE AND I WILL BE HAPPY TO RE-POST A REPLACEMENT
Hi, my name's Alison, I'm in my forties and live with my boyfriend Pete and our lovely black and white cat Sam. I teach geography for a living and I enjoy spending time with my friends and family most of all. Second to that I really enjoy patchwork and quilting.
I live in Nottingham, home of the notorious but perhaps fictional outlaw Robin Hood. I grew up here but I have also lived in Colombia, South America for 3 years, and in New Zealand, for 4 years.
Other places I have visited include Japan, Vietnam, Ecuador, Venezuela, Panama, Cube, France, Belgium, Germany, The Netherlands, Australia. In the future I would like to visit Mongolia and Scandanavia. I won't be anywhere for a while though as I need to save up!
I really enjoy quilting, but I work quite slowly, mainly because I never have enough time but I catch up with my sewing at weekends and in the school holidays. I can crochet, but I can't knit. I'd like to start dressmaking next.
Happy swapping craftsters! xx
This isn't a list of things I want to receive in a swap. I shall probably like whatever you send; it's just a totally random list of things I like: Maps, cats, wool felt, zakka style, Kaffe Fasset, birds, historical fact and fiction, chocolate, rum, crochet, lace, quilting, stripes, swirls, shells, gardening, pebbles, plants, autumn and spring, Christmas, cakes, ceramics, unusual stuffed animals, cotton, linen, denim, leather, sheepskin, wood cuts, poetry, sweets, roast potatoes, Amy Butler, sparkly fish, paua shell, cat's eyes, crystals, fossils, trees, pebbly beaches, flamenco, wombats, tigers, ant eaters, tapirs etc etc etc
I will probably like whatever you send me but I realise you might want some guidance. I don't like: Disney-style cuteness Blingy showy over the top glitzy Mauve, lilac, pastel coloured fabric Old fashioned florals/country style Lettering on fabric Cosmetics Illegible handwriting
