I'm Ruth :) I'm a Scottish but living in exile in England with my best friend and our two beautiful Cornish Rex kitties, Minky and Mischa (brothers from the same litter). I get a little homesick for Edinburgh but I've learned to love Yorkshire almost as much, especially Whitby. I am Jewish and that's a really important part of my identity. I'm also queer and genderqueer and that's important too. I tend to view the world from the outside looking in, if you know what I mean. I love old, neglected things and places. I love ghostsigns and ancient graffiti. I collect old medicine tins that are scratched and scuffed from years of holding buttons. I like interesting buttons and beads and badges and brooches. I have various tattoos and piercings (much to my mother's dismay).

At the moment, I'm loving Fanny Brice and clips of old Yiddish musicals on Youtube.

Harry Potter, obsessively. To my shame, I've read so much fanfiction that I've forgotten what's actually canon and what's just a really common fanfic trope.

I do some cross stitch and a little sewing. Occasionally, I crochet a bit. Maybe a little collage, now and again.
