November 2024:
I am taking a break during November and December as I am having knee replacement surgery and then enjoying the Christmas season with family. I will return in January. I am checking in at least once a week so if you need me, please message.
Hubby is a associate pastor with youth and children. Serving God by working with His kids is such a blessing. Getting to serve side by side with Arnold makes it a double blessing.
Our youngest son, 17, and I spend a lot of time together as we homeschool due to his autism and delays. He is the one of the 101 foster kids we served that God told us was ours forever.
Our other two children are grown. Our oldest, a wonderful daughter runs a recreational athletic program in her town. She also does dog therapy work with her great Bassett mix, Flash.
Our middle, a son, has three children of his own. Our two grandsons have August birthdays like hubby, their daddy and I. Our precious granddaughter was born in March.

And I must confess to being a reality tv junkie!
Odds & Ends that make me happy: magnets, dog treats, fuzzy socks,
I am allergic to chocolate and mushrooms.
I have arthritis,CRPS and fibromyalgia which slows me down, but doesn't stop me. My left knee was replaced in May 2024, and the right knee is being done in October 2024.
I grew up in the north, but now live in Florida. And we moved down here to take a job, not to retire.
Candles burning in my house makes me happy.
I LOVE to rearrange furniture; it tortures me to leave it for more than a month or two at a time. Our current house does not really have many options so I am going nuts trying to figure out what I can rearrange.
Birds creep me out. Seriously, they terrify me.
I'm addicted to my planner. I have finally settled (at least for now) on the Classic size Happy Planner. I changed my planner again to preprinted that is basically a shrunken Happy Planner that fits in my purse.
I had never seen washi until I discovered Swap-Bot and now there is never enough of it to go around!
*Fabric of any size, shape, color, style, or pattern. I am obsessed with quilting and fabric crafting. Some of my favorites are polka dots, purples, and plaids. Any dog-related fabric is also awesome!
*Sewing supplies like thread, pins, quilt batting, interfacing, buttons, zippers, and any other sewing items you have but will never use. Even open, partial packages are such a sweet blessing to receive.
*Grandma items as I am a proud "Grammy" to three.
*Washi Tape or any color, pattern, or words.
*Anything Curious George. A few years ago for our anniversary my hubby bought me a large hardbound book with several Curious George stories bound together. Best gift ever!
I really hate to have this section, but with my medical history I must.
Please nothing scented. This includes perfumes, lotions, anything! My fibromyalgia makes me extremely sensitive to smell. What seems pleasant and mild to you could cause me problems.
For the same reason, please do not send anything with smoke or mildew residue or smell. I have had a couple serious reactions.
And on the weird side, I am allergic to chocolate so I may be the only woman on the planet who would not like to receive chocolate.
I am a Christian so I prefer not to receive anything that is in opposition to my faith. But don't worry, if you do, forgive and move forward is my motto.
My first love is quilting and sewing. I love the creativeness and variety that comes with this great art form. I love sewing items like Bible covers, pillows, curtains, mug rugs, pot holders, tote bags, and other little surprises for friends and family and sometimes strangers.
I began paper crafting when I joined Swap-bot, but I am liking the fun of creating my own cards to share. I have always loved sending cards, and creating my own is so much fun!
I am really in love with ATC's and how creative so many of my partners have been. This is such a fun art form as they do not take a ton of time or supplies, but allow for unlimited creativity.
