Hi! My name is M. I'm a Mexican/Filipino queer artist. I try hard to reconnect with my roots, especially through food--if you have stories to share about being Mexican or Filipino, I would love to hear them!

I'm 25 years old, working on being an independent artist! My pronouns are they/them--I am nonbinary!!

I am trying to grow my audience for my two comics, Debris of Daily Life and Brucey + I.

I am the proud partner of TWO wonderful people--Andrea, my wife, and Jai, my long-distance partner. Both of them are wonderful, caring people, and we love to watch Netflix together on the couch. They love to see what I get in the mail!

I'm an avid reader--I like fantasy and books for young adults. I also read lots of comics--LOADS of them. I dream that one day people will love my comics just as much.

My hobbies are birdwatching, drawing, and playing games. I love to play with my 3 cats as well. Their names are Bees, Moth, and Jersey. I apologize if cat hair gets into anything I send out--I try to keep them away from my work space, but sometimes I miss something.

I tend to put a lot of effort into decorating and styling envelopes and postcards rather than putting in extras. I enjoy the generosity of people that do, and I will occasionally tuck an extra in if I have something on hand that I think someone will like, but it is not a big habit of mine! Don't feel obligated to tuck in for me, either.

I am coming back after a long hiatus...I miss seeing things in my mailbox every day!

Wishlist for Gift Swaps

🎁 Washi tape: I like bold patterns, metallics, owl-themed, plant-themed, feather-patterned, mail style, etc.
🎁 Used stamps. Don't feel bad if you don't decorate the envelope--I'll usually take the stamps and stickers off of these to use elsewhere!
🎁 Stickers: OWL STICKERS!! Or succulent themes! Birds, feathers, all those kind of goodies! Please no puffy stickers, though...
🎁 Teas: My favourites are green or herbal teas. I won't say no to loose leaf, either, as long as they're packaged carefully!

Okay, owls are so important to me that they get their own section. I love owls above and beyond anything and everything. I collect as many owl goodies as I can and I will also frequently send out owl-themed goods. My favourite owls are the Little Owl, Barn Owl, and the Snowy Owl. If you have ANYTHING owl-themed or you're short on something to write about--talk about owls! Draw an owl! I love owls!!

⛔ I am sensitive to heavy, flowery, or smokey scents due to my asthma. Eucalyptus also triggers my asthma.
⛔ I also am not a fan of religious iconography of any sort. I have a bad history with religion and sometimes I have a bad reaction. Secular Christmas stuff is okay...I know "the reason for the season" but I celebrate as a tradition, not worship. Sorry
⛔ Tastes: Please no licorice/lemongrass/mint teas; please no lollipops/sticky candies/white choco.
⛔ PLEASE don't send any puffy stickers...I find that I have nowhere to put them, and they don't run through the postal machines very well. They would just find their way into other swaps...

I scan all of the ATCs and zines that I make and post them up online. Please message me if you are worried about something having been lost in the mail...I would be happy to resend. I am deathly afraid of my swaps being lost, so please be kind.

On the other hand--if you're missing a rating from me, please reach out and let me know! Please expect 2-3 weeks after you've sent out your swap for me to rate--I've had things take months to get to me previously, so I want to make sure that you're aware!
