I am a wife and homeschooling mother of 4. The Lord and my family are precious to me.

I'm excited about this site because I have always been a very frugal person. My mom taught me to clip coupons and she bought a lot of clothes and books from thrift stores. So, I find it very difficult (almost impossible) to pay full price for something that I can get used or for free. I guess that's why I like to recycle, upcycle, repurpose (etc.) whenever possible.

I like to crochet quick projects that turn out nice but don't take an extremely long time to make. So, I crochet quite a few hats, scarves, and dishcloths. I also loom knit the items mentioned above.

I sew but mostly out of necessity. I have made a couple of remote control holders for my husband and some clothing, puppets, and felt food for the children.

Since joining Swap-bot I have found out about several art forms that are new to me, such as zines, ATCs and handmade postcards. I am interested at trying my hand at these crafts as well. I am currently looking at tutorials on YouTube to teach myself how to do these.

8/20/2010 Update: I don't think ATCs are for me. But I have found several items that I enjoy making. Some of my new favorite things to make are: handmade envies, swap cards, bookmarks, and postcards.

I enjoy reading the Bible. I also like books about holistic health. I do a lot of reading/research online about homeschooling.

I like receiving all kinds of coupons except ones for: pet food, baby products, or nicotine products.

I send out all swaps by the deadline. I do not mark swaps as sent out unless I have dropped the envelope in the mailbox or taken the package to the post office. So if a lot of time has passed and you haven't received your swap then please PM me. I will happily resend.

Also, I try to rate all swaps as soon as I receive them. But feel free to PM me if some time has passed since you mailed your swap and I haven't rated it yet. :)
