August 17, 2015: I was unable to access the Internet for over 2 weeks. I have a lot to do now, especially outside Swap-bot, but I'm working on it all. I'm going to read and answer all the messages and rate everything I've received within a few days. Thank you for your patience.

July 30, 2015: I won't be able to access the Internet for some time. I'll be back to Swap-bot no later than on August 17, hopefully sooner. I have one swap on my dashboard. It's ready to be mailed to both partners now and I intend to send it on July 31, but I won't be able to mark it as sent before I can access the Internet again.**

I'm pretty new here and still working on my profile. Some of my favorite leisure activities are cooking, growing chili peppers and other plants, hiking, reading books and writing letters. I love the nature and enjoy a simple but intellectually stimulating life.

If you want, you can think of me as an old rural granny who doesn't care for modern technology, has never used a computer and doesn't have a cell phone, maybe not even a TV. Or you can think of me as a young man who's much more into all kinds of geeky things (including technology) than sports. I'm not either of those people, but if you decide what to send me as if I were, you can hardly go wrong.

If they're too complicated or require ingredients I can't find, I can try to modify them or use them as inspiration. At the moment I'm especially interested in Korean and Mexican cuisine and meals that contain beans or fermented vegetables.

♥ A hand-written note or letter without an obligation to write back -- whether it's long or short, I ♥love♥ it when someone writes something to me! You can write about anything you want.

♥ Things you've made or decorated yourself -- I appreciate the time and effort regardless of your skill level. :)

I know this is desperate but if you send me anything about Babylon 5 -- homemade or store-bought, new or used, maybe not even in good condition any more -- I'll be forever grateful to you!

Please avoid sending me:

✖ Food or drink, except in an unopened, factory-sealed package

✖ Beauty products (make-up, lip balm, etc)

✖ Jewelry

✖ Items that are claimed to have some magical/supernatural properties, such as prayer clothes, dreamcatchers, other good luck charms, and voodoo dolls. Pictures of them are ok, though, and teas that are based on ayurveda or other comparable belief systems are also ok.

Only factory-sealed bags/packages, please!

I love tea and usually drink 5-10 mugs of it a day. I drink mostly loose-leaf tea but tea bags are fine, too.

I'm willing to taste anything. In case you have many different kinds of teas available, here are some suggestions to help you choose what to send me:

♥ pu'erh, oolong and white teas, especially unflavored

♥ herbal teas

♥ teas with flowers, ginger, chocolate, cinnamon, lemongrass, or strong spices

♥ Chinese, Japanese and Korean teas

♥ small, local brands

Teas with artificial flavors are usually not my favorites, but don't feel bad if they're all you have -- like I said, I'm willing to taste anything. And even if your favorite tea tastes very artificial, I'd love to get a bag of it anyway! :)

Ich kann nicht Deutsch sprechen, aber ich verstehe ein bisschen und versuche mehr zu lernen. It’s probably best if you write your personal message in some other language, but feel free to send me recipes, brochures, etc auf Deutsch -- no need to translate them for me. Even if they use advanced vocabulary and grammar, I can (try to :P) translate them myself when I'm in the mood for a challenge. :)
