NOTE: If you're expecting something from me, but haven't received it yet, please message me before rating. I am honest and if I say I sent something, then I sent it. If, however, it has become lost in the post (and these things DO happen occasionally), I'd like the opportunity to re-send.
When I swap within the USA, I use delivery confirmation whenever possible. If it is a package (level 3) swap, I will definitely use delivery notification. If you wish, I'm happy to share that information with you so that you can track it too.
I can't relate to people who say they're bored because I'm never bored.
Favorite colors: aubergine or varying shades of purple, periwinkle and other colors along the same line. I also like pink and turquoise. As I get older, I find I like more colors and have surprised myself by enjoying the occasional orange :)
I'm not into the "country," "shabby chic," or "primitive" decor. I lean toward Mid-Century Modern/Euro/Asian. I'm very far from it but my goal is to be a minimalist. My friends laugh at me every time I say that!
I love to travel and do it as often as time and money allows.
Animals I like: hedgies, owls, squirrels, ceramic deer and small various ceramic birds/owls. I also like tiny ceramic animals (such as Red Rose ceramic figurines) as long as it's not a reptile or monkey! I love finding woodland creature ceramic planters.
I love postcards and getting snail mail. My favorite kind of postcard are your local scenic views and points of interest. I also like state map postcards but the scenic views are my absolute fav. I also like a variety of other cards, such as famous (or obscure) people, funny and/or weird cards or cheezy tourist-trap cards. Please don't take offense but I honestly don't want hand-crafted postcards. I appreciate the work that SOME people put into their hand-crafted cards but I just don't collect them. I do, however, like ATCs.
I love letterpress note cards and stationary, letter sets, hand-made envelopes, fine point pens, unusual stickers, pretty or unusual paper (washi), Kokeshi dolls, Japanese silk and other Japanese fabric, charms (for jewelry making or for other embellishments), old brooches, antique sewing tools and pincushions, vintage and mother of pearl buttons & non-plastic beads, junky metal jewelry (so I can take it apart and make something else with it), crochet pattern pamphlets, pressed pennies, hair clips, cute socks (but not the kind with toes), bento boxes, cool chopsticks, hand-knit or crocheted items, small & whimsical items and a host of other things :)
I like mix-tapes and music of all kind EXCEPT for angry/hate-filled metal or most Rap - especially the raunchy, profane-filled stuff.
I like hand-carved stamps and lino as well as the things created using them. I don't really care for the "usual" rubber stamps though (like Stampin' Up) because I don't scrapbook or make cards. If I do buy a commercially manufactured stamp, it is usually related to snail mail.
I've collected house-shaped tins for a long while and am always on the lookout for them.
I also collect kokeshi dolls and have a small collection of wooden Japanese figurines (including pencil toppers or car/travel charms). I buy them whenever I can find them.
I have a sweet little Blythe doll who loves new clothes or handmade accessories. ;)
I like to listen to audio books. It keeps my hands free to do other things while I'm enjoying a story. I like most books but don't read or listen to romance novels.
I can't wear base metal because it irritates my skin but I'm ok with precious metals and surgical/stainless steel.
I save Boxtops for Education for our school. If you have any to spare, we'd sure appreciate it!.
Hmm. I like a lot of music. It depends on my mood. Old country and gospel reminds me of my dad, waltzes remind me of my mom. I enjoy lots of "popular" stuff but I don't really like rap. I've never really found any opera I like either. But then again, I've not heard every opera. I never enjoy elevator muzak or the stuff they make you listen to when they put you on hold on the phone.
I occasionally like listening to British radio stations online and sometimes I listen to Delilah.
My playlists are quite varied.
Sci fi, time-travel, fantasy, action, romantic comedies and some indie films.
I love any program that has Hugh Grant or Sandra Bullock in it.
I am not anti-TV but I honestly rarely watch it anymore. I spend my time doing other stuff :)
My all-time favorite TV show was Farscape. It was a crying shame when the syfy channel canceled it! My second all time favorite TV show was Fraggle Rock.
I don't care for fruit-flavored teas or anything with fake rose or peach scent,
I recently discovered I'm allergic to birds. I had NO idea until recently! So please, don't send anything with feathers.
I'm also allergic to a lot of very strong fragrances and things like incense or floral lotions and the like cause some mild asthma-like symptoms. Scents made with essential oils don't seem to bother me.
I don't like horror films or vampire anything (movies, books). The first scares me and the second bores me.
Monkeys creep me out. I detest reptiles, especially snakes! And 99.9% of all bugs are gross.
