When it comes right down to it, the little things in life are all that keep me going. I am good at making messes of everything, taking forever to make the worst decision possible and never finishing what I start, but something small, like seeing a flock of plastic flamingos in someone's yard can make me forget all about everything.

Other than that sort of thing, I am a college graduate with a degree in Political Science. I am currently taking a year to figure things out and not have a plan since I have my whole life. While that sounds amazing to me, I cannot keep from planning my next year which will probably find me pursuing my library science masters somewhere down south. I have always belonged in the library. My new year's resolution was to live by the stars, and I have done just that.

My overall goal: to set the world on fire with love.

Being in college kept me from pleasure reading, but I now have a job in which I have so much free time, I am burning through books left and right. Classics are my favorite (A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, Candide, To Kill a Mockingbird, Catcher in the Rye), but I am starting to give newer stuff a chance (Love is a Mix Tape, Pure, Miss America Family). And of course, the Post Secret books and any of Charles Schulz writings can take away my bad feelings at the drop of a hat. Dorothy Parker can always put a smile on my face with her witty sass anyday.

As long as they are short shows, I can handle them. My all time favorite is The Office. Degrassi is still my guilty pleasure.

Movies are not my thing. I cannot stand to waste so much time. Also, I have a poor attention span making it unbelievably hard to get through one. Little Otik, Cry Baby, Lars and the Real Girl and House of a Thousand Corpses all kept my attention span to the end, making me feel like they can be classified as my favorites.

Music is my most favorite thing. As a rule, I keep an open mind to all the genres out there. Of course, I do have my favorites (rilo kiley, the kinks, martha reeves, the beatles, jackson browne, bill monroe), but I am always up for something new! I collect anything and everything on vinyl, as well.

I am really into birds of all sorts right now, especially flamingos. I love travelling and experiencing other cultures. I try my best to learn as much about a country as I can before going as to not offend. This year, I went to China, and it was more amazing than I could imagine. I only wish I could have been there for the olympic games.

I also love writing (I have a journal for everything), mixing, making lists, people watching, astrology, badtz maru, jewelry, shoes, terra cotta warriors, snoopy and the rest of the peanuts gang and holiday anything.
