I am a wife,mother and grandmother.WOW that makes me sound so old! But I feel very young at heart, another cliche :) I have been divorced and am now happily married to my soulmate. I have 4 girls and a boy, and he has 4 girls, and between us we have 25 grandchildren. Now there is a way to stay young! After carrying these titles for very many years I am on a new journey to find another path in my life to "find myself". I live in a rural community in Alberta, Canada. I enjoy this small town life except when I need Michaels therapy. I love having my own home and yard, love the challenge of growing vegetables and very beautiful flowers. Summers are happily spent planting, weeding and harvesting. We have apples trees (2) raspberries, strawberries, saskatoons and the beginnings of a small patch of blueberries. After a long hot day in the garden we love to enjoy something cold to drink and a cool gentle breeze. I have not been snail mailing or doing swaps for very long but the little I have done has been really awesome. I always follow through on my obligations and mail on time. one of the activities have found to step outside the box I find myself in. A nice box but it"s time to venture out.

Generally speaking I enjoy just about all kinds of music, even a little heavy metal thanks to my son. I don"t care for country, jazz, blues. Some of my favourites right now are Adele, Maroon 5, Hedley, the Congos, July Talk etc. I get introduced to a lot of different music by my kids.

I love reading but it is very random. A couple of my favourite books are To kill a mockingbird, grapes of wrath, gifts from the sea. I really like reading true crime, many of which are solved. I think it fulfills my need for justice.

I am not really a movie or TV person although I enjoy both. I guess thats why crafts have always been big for me. I have done a lot of different crafts but I think I have settled around paper crafting. I never met a piece of paper or sticker I didn't love. I have loved paper as long as I can remember. I am also working on a fixer-upper doll house that one of my girls found for me and that has me delving into the world of miniatures. No surprise as I have always loved tiny things too.

Well other stuff about me- we have two ginger cats and a mutt, all a little quirky in their own ways. I love the ocean and hope we can retire to the west coast of BC. one day. I love the colors blue and green in all their shades and hues. I love beads and sand and shells and driftwood. I truly love rainy days! They evoke such calming feeling for me but I also will step to a doorway for a good thunder storm. I love bees and dragonflies and ladybugs. Autumn days that are crisp and cool, leaves that have fallen and rained on make me happy. Don't want to go on and on but there is a little bit of me. I think I'm going to like it here :)

March 3, 2021 I would just like to say thank you to all my swap partners. I have had a difficult time responding to the ratings I’ve been given. The past year has been particularly difficult. Our dog,Chloe died a year ago in January, My husband hit a moose the beginning of February, luckily thanks to his driving skill he was not hurt but the pickup was written off. We also lost one of our kitties. Then the worst, My husband’s 18 year old granddaughter was killed in a terrible car accident. It’s just been hard to keep up with things, and then COVID. I will say that we are carrying on with our heads up. There are still so many bright spots in our lives. We have gotten 2 new cats,Benny 2 years ago and Jett last year. Those two are so entertaining. I will say the the swaps I have been sent always,always put a smile on my face. I love sending swaps as well, it gives me the opportunity to stretch out beyond the sadness and give to others. We are looking forward to a better year in 2021.

I totally love washi that is quite large. Shaped paper clips, charms, textured paper, printed vellum, ocean themed anything, washi stickers especially flowers, anything with a vintage look. My favourite colours are blue, green, ocean colours, gold and pink. I like graphic 45, Tim Holtz, I like things that go together like stickers, paper and ephemera. I love faeries. There are very few things I dislike, I use every thing I am sent in some form of art or another. Don’t really care for religious themed anything. I appreciate that everyone is at different levels in art. If you put in your best effort, then I will love it. I appreciate the time people take to make their mail special.
