Favorite Crafts

In particular I love collage and printmaking, but I am also a photographer. I make jewlery as well, especially hand rolled paper beads. Also I've gotten into Zentangle recently.

About Me

I am an elementary art teacher from Murfreesboro, TN. I've been teaching art for 5 years, and recently my students have gotten into making artists' trading cards. I've created a monster. ;)

Stuff I like

anything black and white, green, Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland, beads, buttons, 1950s and 1960s fashion, theatre, teaching, The Beatles, Jadeite or other depression-era glassware, Tiffany Blue, pearls, brooches, clip-on earrings, any kind of tea, I collect elephants, fabric from vintage ties, bluebirds, crocodiles/alligators

Interesting handle...do you hypnotize people?...just kidding!:) My son and I really LOVED your Zentangle..very strong design and you have such control...what type of pen did you use? Response: Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. I used Prismacolor Premier fine line pens. I like those because they come in different sizes and shapes on the tips, but now that I have the Sakura Microns I really prefer those because they don't smear. The Sharpie Pens are great for color as well. That's so cool that your son is into it! How old is he, if I may ask? I am about to start a lesson with Zentangle for my 5th grade students.

Response: Aww, you're welcome. Those napkins are pretty cool, huh? I found them at a now defunct mom & pop craft supply store. If you apply them like decoupage, the rice paper becomes transparent and the design on the napkin looks like a tattoo!
