I am a mixed media artist; I work in glass, paint, sculpt, create with found objects...Thrift stores, garage sales, and flea markets are some of my favorite places to go to find treasures to transform..people fascinate me, and I love old black and white photos...Traveling is a passion of mine, and I always bring back a rock, shell, seed, pine cone...something to remind me of where I've been...My favorite colors are black, blue, purple, and green...Orange? not so much...I have three grown children and two big dogs...Born in Germany, graduated high school in Thailand...there is a big world out there and I want to see everything..I dream of having a piece of land out in the country, with a cow and some chickens running around.

My father came from the Ozark mountains of Arkansas, and I was probably one of the only kids in the sixties who was listening to both Iron Butterfly and Hank Williams. I love country, folk, blues, rock, pop, soul........some classical, but modern jazz and rap both jangle my nerves.

I love to read..thrillers, biographies, self help...I always have at least four books going at once. I listen to audio books instead of radio most days. The Bible is the one book I could not do without.

Dead Man Walking is definitely one of my top picks...I enjoy stories of redemption...I like a movie that makes me think...I thought Inglorious Basterds was brilliant. My favorites so far this year are: Get Low...Toy Story 3

I love dark, rich colors, tapestries, realism, multi-layered works...children's books, vintage maps, photos, art deco, art nouveau, Bouguerau, Van Gogh...I really don't like skulls, blood, wizards, death themes, unicorns, rainbows, teddy bears.... I love old fabrics, old linens, buttons, rhinestones, crystals. I enjoy journaling.. fascinated by other people's journals and life experiences.
