I am a retired middle school English teacher. I love to read, do art and hang with my friends. I hope to travel to Europe again, I loved my first visit.
I spend nearly all of each day creating art. Zentangle is very inspirational for me and I create a lot of bookmarks from scrapes from paper cut into tiles and scrapes of watercolor paper (my other art passion). I incorporate Zentangle into my watercolor painting and vis-versa. I like to do anything that involves using my hands and being creative.
I love to read. Some of my very top books are, All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr and Cutting for Stone by Abraham Verghese. A couple of outstanding youth novels are: The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson. The are so many great books out in the world. I say just pick one up and read it!
Pretty much anything from the 60-70's!
Well I watch too much TV, but was a God send when I had to go through chemotherapy in late 2020 and early 2021. I am good now, but binge watched a lot of TV! Watched Veronica Mars series, Guys Grocery Games and many others! Currently involved in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
I have the best friends in the universe! Really! I was blessed with teaching at the best school with the best Principal and the best, unselfish and collaborative teachers. We became fast friends over the past 30 years and now are enjoying each others company in retirement (some are still working, they are younger!) but we still do TGIFs to stay in touch.
