I love to create things - altered art, assemblages, quilts, knitting, painting. I love in an old Victorian house from 1850 so I have plenty to do if I want to paint and strip! There's ALWAYS something that needs to get done! I am married (second marriage) and together we have a blended family with 5 teenagers lving together - 3 in college. So crafting is my sanity. Right now I have taken over the kitchen table as my work space and we eat all our meals in the dining room. When one of the kids is out of college and hopefully on their own, I will turn one of the bedrooms into a studio. I would love to start using metal and glass - I just bought a soldering iron and I'm looking forward to experimenting with that. I work full time at Princeton University - I'm the University Librarian's Assistant. Such a wonderful place to work - the energy here is inspiring. My husband is always asking what are you going to do with that (whatever I'm making). He says that I should sell my art, but I think that I already have a job to make money. This is my fun! Looking forward to swapping to sort of give myself a "purpose" to the work I love to do. My vices in life are magazines and iced coffee. I am proud to say that I'm a magazine junky and can't get enough of publications like Somerset
I love listening to slow jazz stations. I don't often listen to CD's because I get bored listening to one artist for 40 minutes. Slow jazz is very soothing when I'm working on art, cooking in the kitchen, or cleaning the house.
I love, love, LOVE audio books!! My commute to work is almost an hour each way and I always have a pile of novels on CD in my car. I will "read" anything and I never mind if I'm stuck in traffic because I'm engrossed in my "book".
I love the decorating shows on HGTV and for some reason am hooked to American Idol - which surprises the heck out of my husband.
Altered art, assemblage, folk painting, quilting, knitting, felting. I am dying to learn how to do stained class.
Bette Davis and Katherine Hepburn movies.

Hello!
You are invited to my swap:
Hope you join us, it will be fun!! =)
I tend to take over tables as well, and would also like to get into stained glass and metal work. So many things, so little time! Looking forward to swapping with you.
