September 2021: Hello Everybody, I am Nolleke, woman (1951) married since 1980, 2 grown-up daughters and 2 lovely sons in law, 4 grandchildren. Husband retired in October 2020. I'm retired since 2017.
In my country, the Netherlands, mailboxes are emptied only 5 days a week, not on Saterdays and Sundays. The post is delivered 5 days a week, not on Sundays and Mondays.
MY COUNTRY: Is it Holland or The Netherlands? Look here: Holland vs the Netherlands - YouTube www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE_IUPInEuc
I am interested in everything that has to do with (the history of) textiles. I am addicted to Postcrossing (Nolleke2010) I collect stamps with a topic: Textile.
PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO RATE. THANK YOU.
I always leave feedback the day I get your mail.
I am always disappointed when people are too late with sending their stuff.
Please make sure you put the name of the swap on your mail. I usually have several swaps going on and I need to be able to find you to rate you. Thanks!
I love to read, mostly non fiction, history, biography. And books about textiles. Ofcourse I read books in my own language, Dutch. But I also read lots of books in english. That is to practice my english but also because english books are much cheaper in my country.
Working girl, When Harry met Sally, Four weddings and a funeral, Preparez vos mouchoirs, Love actually. Les entouchables.
Crafts that have to do with textile: spinning, weaving, lace making, embroidery, sewing, crocheting, knitting, etc. But I don't do those things myself. I have done them all. Nowadays I am only interested in: - how is it done, - history of the craft, - textile mills, - textile art, - textile in museum or exhabition.
POSTCARDS.
I collect POSTCARDS with:
USA cityview and areas
UNESCO WHS
Crane birds
Cows

TEXTILE: anything that has to do with textile, like fabric, yarn, spinning, weaving, lace making, lace, silk, wool, cotton, linen, knitting croaching, quilts, tapestries, textile mills, textile industry, etc. If you can find postcards with this topic, you make my day.

STAMPS.
I collect ( postage) STAMPS with a topic. My topic is TEXTILE.
So if you find stamps with anything that has to do with textile, like:
fibre
yarn
spinning
weaving
lace making
lace
silk, wool, cotton, linen
knitting
croaching
quilts
tapestries
textile mills
textile industry, etc.
Then I am very interested.
MUSEUMS I love to visit museums and exhabitions. About paintings, sculpture and textile (tapestry, lace, quilts)
WALKING I walk at least 3 times a week, at least an hour.
TRAVEL Most of all I love citytrips. Besides New York, Paramaribo and Marrakech, I have seen most big cities in Europe: Amsterdam, Brussels, Antwerp, Luxembourg, Paris, Nancy, Barcelona, Valencia, Malaga, Sevilla, Cordoba, Granada, London, Edinburgh, Oslo, Gotenborg, Warsaw, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan, Prague, Brno, Ostrawa, Vienna, Geneva, Lausanne, Milan, Rome, Florence, Venice, Sienna, Pisa, Berlin, Cologne, Leipzig, Erfurt, Weimar, Darmstadt, Dresden, Stockholm etc.
SWAP BOT And ofcourse I like to do swap bot.
My favorite animal is a SHEEP. Because I am interested in textile, I am interested in the materials: wool, cotton, silk etc. The wool comes from a sheep. So that is the link. I collect sheep since 1994. I collect sheep on postage stamps. I collect sheep on postcards. I collect little sheep made of stone, porcelain, wood, glass, clay etc. I have over 500 of them. I always try to find and buy one when I am on vacation/holidays. So I do have sheep of many countries in Europe but also from Africa and South America. Last sheep till now: 3 sheep from Sweden.
More than once, when I look at a profile, I read: Sorry, I'm so busy, but now I will rate soon etc.. At the same time I see that same person is involved in more than 10 swaps. That surprises me. When I am busy, I participate just in a few swaps, or I take a total break, until I have time again. When you are doing swaps, you have responsibilities. Please keep that in mind. Thank you.
Not interested in: Cats on postcards Christmas cards.
