Hi I a mum of 3 and for the last year or so I have been busy making a business at home as an illustrator using Facebook to sell my work. I illustrate slightly unusually in that I use old books. I love the way it brings my little characters alive. I use the whole book including the covers as this gives a new texture and layer to the picture. Recently I have discovered the love of stationery. I have become obsessed with sourcing old paper paraphernalia including vintage packaging and cannot walk past a dusty old bookstore without going in. So with the love of paper it was a natural step going from making illustrated collaged pictures and cards to stationery sets. I have produced a journal for children to encourage them to write more including notelets, postcards and formal letter writing. I then realised that I did not write a lot myself and with researching for the journal I came across envelope art, washi tape and making your own stationery. So here I am, wanting to experience friendship and fun around the world and get more inspiration for my work and spread the joy of creative snail mail.

Like the odd reality programme like Masterchef and unfortunately I have been known to watch the X-Factor

Gardening especially growing and drying herbs for cooking Typography Stitching and making cute felt/fabric toys but would rather make a picture using the same techniques as embroidery as not very good at it. Made a little cat that sleeps in a music box for my daugher recently which I really enjoyed making with lots of little accessories including a little notebook and working pencil - I love cute things! Looking at crafting books and Liberty prints

I like paper/stationery, books (old books), print and design, Typography, Illustration, Doodling, bright colours, interesting stamps (both postal and the ink ones), gel pens especially white ones and envelope art. Oooh and washi tape and I'm getting very interested in the art of packaging and Japanese/ Korean stationery in particular.
