I love to knit, felt, needle felt, make handmade greeting cards & invitations, read books & magazines (Entertainment Weekly, home decorating and food mags are my favorite), cook, watch TV (sadly, a reality-TV junkie) and movies. Love to shop - especially for bargains (Marshall's addict!). I'm a junk food junkie - Hostess rocks!.

I work in a university library (although I am not your typical librarian-type), am single, with no kids.

Love to decorate and am not afraid of color. Love stripes, polka dots, modern prints, paisleys, funky & retro stuff. Love to decorate with antique china/vintage glass, hand-tinted early 1900's post cards, embroidered towels.

Love to wrap presents - yep, it's crazy but I do. As Martha Stewart always says "The way you present a gift is as important as the gift itself." I love beautiful papers and ribbons.

My favorite colors are robin's egg blue, pinks, orange, lime, apple and mint greens & chocolate brown.

My favorite stores are: Marshall's, TJ Maxx, Anthropologie, Urban Outfitters (for their home decor/fun/funky stuff - not clothes), Papyrus, Kate's Paperie, Paper Mojo (online).

Dog person (not a cat person). Border Collies, Weimaraners and Golden Retrievers my favorite breeds.

DISLIKES: religious items, collectibles, cartoons/animation, classic "country" themed stuff, food with nuts in it, cat themed stuff, candles.

Eclectic tastes... John Mayer, Amy Winehouse, Prince, early Michael Jackson, INXS, Corinne Bailey Rae, early Dave Matthews Band, Duran Duran, Sting, The Police.

Breakfast Club (any of John Hughes movies, actually!), American Beauty, Pulp Fiction, Walk the Line.

Knitting, Felting, Needle-Felting, paper crafts, especially making greeting cards and invitations (not into scrapbooking, though). Some beading.

Although I was an english major in college and now work in a library, my literary taste is very specific. I like contemporary/literary fiction. My favorite authors are Anne Tyler, Jodi Piccoult, Elizabeth Berg (although her last few books have been a little cheesy), Anita Shreve, Wally Lamb, Dani Shapiro. I also like non-fiction craft, cooking, knitting, greeting card making books and some contemporary memoirs.

BOOK DISLIKES: Fantasy, Science Fiction, Romance, Chick-lit, Historical.

Rescue Me, Nip/Tuck, Six Feet Under, Weeds, Big Love, Brothers & Sisters, What About Brian (sadly this was recently canceled).

Reality shows - Intervention, American Idol, Big Brother (embarrased to say!), Top Chef, Project Runway, Biggest Loser.

I also like many of the decorating shows on HGTV & TLC.
