I'm a twenty-something American girl trying to find her way in The Netherlands.

I got married in December 2006 to a Dutchman, and made my move over from Utah in March to live here. It's an adjustment, for sure!

Currently my main job is to make sure I don't burn down the house with my cooking adventures, but I hope to learn Dutch soon and re-enter the workforce.

I like bright colors. Orange, red, yellow are some of my favorites. That said, I don't mind more mellow colors either.

I love cats. Currently mine are still living in the states with my parents, but I hope someday I can have them here. Something therapeutic about having a purring ball of fur to keep you company when you're having a bad day.

I'm really tall and I have huge feet. This probably isn't important, but I thought I'd throw it out there.

I have a pink Nintendo DS Lite, which I am addicted to. I'm a big fan of Mario games, and puzzle games.

matchbox 20, scissor sisters, alanis morisette, maroon 5, kane, the rasmus, robbie williams... etc.

I do not like "music" that is only thumping bass and screeching noises. I don't like rap either, it usually gives me a headache. Most everything else is game.

I like to dabble in a little bit of everything.

I enjoy doing stained glass, but don't have the space or resources to do it here.

I can cross stitch, but unless it's an interesting pattern, I lose my patience quickly.

I like to tell myself I can paint (I can't), but enjoy fudging around with watercolors.

I sew. I hope to start sewing more of my clothing, as I'm a bit of an odd shape and it's hard to find anything that fits.

I like altered art, and I can also crochet.
