Let's see...I just turned the big 3-0 this year. I have been married to my husband for almost 2 years. We do not have any children yet, but are the proud "parents" to 2 dogs - Caesar, a Cane Corso, & Daisy Duke, a Cane Corso/Boxer mix.

My hobbies include running (not because I love it, more because I'm trying to maintain/reduce the size of my butt), being with the dogs, movie watching (DVD's mostly because I hate to sit for 2 straight hours in the theater), reading (love Carl Hiassen & quirky mystery/drama stories with strong female characters), shopping whenever I have some extra $ to spend, playing my Nintendo Wii, playing with my Cricut machine (though I'm not a big scrapbooker) & I've just taken up baking. I'm dying to try out fondant. I have a friend getting married in March & I would love nothing more than to be able to gift her with lots of beautiful cupcakes & mini-desserts. I also really love flowers - especially orchids. I have quite a few on my patio that really flourish in our Florida weather. Sadly, what doesn't work in our weather are poppies, which are my favorite flowers. I went to college at the University of Florida & am a Gator through & through.

Things I like? Pretty cupcake wrappers, anything for fondant as I have zero supply, cookbooks, clear scrapbook stamps for embossing fondant, fondant cutters, cookie cutters, sprinkles or decorations, the University of Florida Gators, home magazines (have Real Simple & Better Homes), I love party/wedding/event planning books/magazines for inspiration, I love CB2.com, Japanese paper or Moroccan lanterns, books on CD since I drive A LOT, dangly earings, orchids, poppies, cake stands or pedestals, perfume bottles, 80's movies (think Legend of Billie Jean, St. Elmo's Fire) & music, fairies, fantasy movies (Legend, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Stardust), stationery, iTunes gift card so I have running music or a donation to Cane Corso Rescue which is my biggest passion.

Food & drink - I have a terrible sweet tooth. I love salted caramels & Lindt truffles (but they tend to melt in the mail). I love citrus candies or treats. I'm always interested in a good cocktail or recipe for your favorite.

Smelly things - I'm not a fan of things smelling like food other than actual food. This means no vanilla or cookie scented body lotions/soaps. I love citrus smelling items though. I am a Florida girl after all!

Something intimate - I have an orange accent wall in my bedroom. I've heard orange brings passion without drama; I just like the color.

I'm very excited to know I'm making someone's day when they open their gift from me. And I'm going to really need a little surprise. My husband has recently accepted a job about 4 hours away from our home. Due to my job, I'm going to have to stay put with the dogs for the next 4-6 months. Unfortunately, we lived apart for 8 months due to work before, so this isn't anything new. It's hard to be apart & I'm really looking forward to having swap-buddies for some distractions!

I forgot to mention I live in South Florida. So mittens & fuzzy socks won't do me any good. :) I'm also not into Kawaii or cartoony things (no Disney or Hello Kitty either). I'm also not a collector of knick knacks. My husband is anti-clutter so it must have a use.
