I live in northern Indiana on 10 acres. My user name came from a time when my husband and I was first married. He did not have a riding lawn mower so I would start about 8:00 on Saturday morning and mow with a push mower till about 5:00 Sunday night. I was mowing 3 acres at that time. I did that for 3 years and on the 4th summer, he bought me a riding lawnmower for mother's day. Most women would complain about hat but I thought it was fantastic.
Mu husband has 5 children and I have 3. When we married, 6 of the kids lived with us and one by one they have slowly come and gone. I am the proud grandmother to 16 grand kids. We have 2 boys that have no children and a daughter who trying for her second.
We also have 5 dogs. We breed Shelties and my husband raises freshwater angelfish. He has our 4 year old granddaughter learning the ropes to raising "babies". She finds it very interesting.
I work at an acute mental health facility. I work in the business office. I do physician billing, financial counseling, admissions, and reconciling the census. Keeps me busy and everyday is a new challenge.
I love listening to country (Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, Brad Paisley, Faith HIll, Tim McGraw, TOby Keith) but recently I have found modern Christian music more entertaining. I love to get in the van on my way to work each morning and listen to upbeat positive songs. There is nothing better than listening to a song that makes you feel better after a really bad day. My son has gotten my hooked on Casting Crowns, Building 429, Mandisa, Kari Jobe. It is kinda new to me as I was raised in the day of the pulpit pounding, Bible teaching days. I am all for doing whatever it takes to get the young kids of today into the Bible.
I don't watch a lot of Television. When I do I like to watch CSI, Ghost Hunters, American PIckers, Numb3ers, Criminal Minds etc..My favorite movies would have to be Rebel without a Cause because James Dean is my 5th cousin. I have quite a collection and will need to start selling off as my kids are not interested in it so I want someone to appreciate it as much as I do.
I am not much of a crafty person but I like to dabble in scrap-booking.
I love milk chocolate, butterscotch, and caramel. There is nothing better in the world than to mix chocolate and caramel unless you are drizzling chocolate and caramel over popcorn and then that is like dying and going to heaven.
Purple has been my favorite color for as long as I can remember. For the longest time I stayed with your basic blues, black, and gray and now I am "expanding" as my daughter says to pinks, and yellows and browns. She still won't let me shop by myself as I pick "granny" clothes and I tell her that at 47and 16 grand kids I am a Granny!!
I like lilacs, don't care for lavender. I love fruity smelling candles and lotions.Sweet pea (yes I know this is a flower) and cucumber melon are my 2 favorites.
I don't drink coffee. Love hot chocolate or tea. Raspberry tea is my absolute favorite. I drink that anytime I go out. I gave up pop and am now addicted to raspberry flavored tea.
