I am a retired educator currently employed full time as a nanny to twin infant boys. I have two adult daughters who are also educators and a retired husband. I also have two dachshunds: Dixie the girl pup and Buster the boy pup (and he thinks he owns me).

I love all kinds of music. I grew up listening to Broadway musicals and opera from the Met. I currently like urban comtemporary and top 40 music and of course old style Motown classics. I like Afro-Cuban jazz and classic jazz.

My favorite author is Laura Lippman. I live in Baltimore and LL is a Baltimore girl who frequently writes about Baltimore. I am currently also reading short stories by Rafael Alvarez, another Baltimore author (who writes for the Baltimore Sun newspaper). My favorite genre is mysteries - especially intellectually challenging ones.
