About Me

*UPDATE- Well I haven't been on here much. There has been alot going on this year. My husband and I have moved twice and now I am getting ready for him to leave and go overseas for several months. I hope since life should be slowing down, that I will be able to join some swaps soon. Hope you all have a Happy, Healthy, and Blessed New Year!

I am a silly, goofy, laugh out loud, random, outdoor loving, drinkin w/ friends, movie watching, road trip taking, chilling at home, cooking, picture taking, hardworkin, trustworthy, kinda shy & sometimes quiet kind of girl. Plus I love my husband! He is one of the coolest guys I know!

We just started our own photography business and we are learning as we go, but continuing to have fun. Thats all that matters, right?!

Photography is my passion, but I love all types of crafts. I love knowing that if i want something I cant find, I can always make it myself.

Stuff I can't live without...

My camera- I would be lost without it. My dad use to yell at me when I was younger because of all the pictures I use to take. Getting them developed cost so much. Thank You camera gods for making digital cameras! Although I would love to have a dark room and developed my own film and print my own pictures. Its nice to have instant gratification.

Skype/Facebook- Living so far away from family and friends it’s a blessing to be able to keep in touch.

My cell phone- I know your thinking to yourself "typical girl"! Not because I love to talk or txt on it..which are stuff I do, but because it's like my "travel camera". It’s my camera I have with me all the time. So if that random perfect picture happens when I don't have my camera on me, I can still capture the moment.

Music- Music makes my soul grow. It helps express whatever your feeling at any moment. I don't have a "favorite" type of music. I have an appreciation of all types. If you were to listen to my iPod it would be the most random mix tape you have ever heard.

Adventures- What’s better than loading up in a car with your three best friends (my husband and our two dogs) and hitting the road! There is just something about going somewhere you've never been or to place you have been to, but seeing what else it has to offer. The experience it provides you of meeting new people and see new place's helps you grow, learn, and appreciate.

Food!- I love to cook, create, share, learn and eat in the kitchen. There is so much to experience with food. It can teach you about other countries and cultures.

And saving the BEST for last...

My husband!! - He is probably the best thing that has ever happened to me. He is my best friend, partner in crime, sous chef, exploring buddy, protector, the mac to my cheese and so on. He still loves me at my worrest, so he defiantly deserves me at my best. I love every crazy, silly, goofy part of us!!

My style

Hmm what is my style...

Not really sure. I like what I like when I like it. I have a very eclectic style. I like a little of everything. When it comes to my clothes I am the girliest tomboy you will ever meet! I can't live without jeans, they go with everything. Even though my favorite color is blue, I love all colors. I'm fine with being cozy comfy and love it when I get to play dress up. I grew up in Florida so flip flops are my shoe of chocie, but I can't pass up a cute boot either. I have really been getting into scrafs latley. There are just so many different types and beautiful fabrics how can you pass them up? But if I should you in a book my style it would be a mix of pin-up, traveler, comfy, girl next door, with a hint of glitz and glame.

Things that make my heart smil

I love sparrows, I actually have two on my foot ( a tattoo I drew my self) After go threw a few life changes, I just loved the meaning of them.

I also love humming birds. Both of my grandmothers and my mother loved them also. They are just so cute a little ( they will probably be in my next tattoo lol)

Plus I'm really getting into Owls now too. (I am starting to realize I might have a bird "fetish" lol) I would love to do a childs room in owls. Owls remind me of a child..big curious eyes just consdently looking around.

MY DOGS! They make me smile all the time. Its funny how an animal can pick up your personalities...I swear my dogs are as werid as my husband and I are. I was so happy that I had Oscar Myer (a jack russell mix who we rescued) and Bailey (a chihuahua corgie mix who we also rescued) while my husband was over seas. It seemed like they knew when I was sad and needed kisses or would snuggle up real close to me at night when I was missing him. They are probably two of the best dogs anyone could as for.

Favorite Movies

Some of my favorite movies are Indiana Jones (first movie I ever saw when I was small) Gross Point Blank, Old Disney movies like Bed Knobs and Broom Sticks or Mary Poppins, Goonies (c'mon who doesn't love that movie) Little Shop of Horro's, Most 80's movies, any thing with Sandra Bullock, Catoons (I'm such a kid at heart) Sherly Temple movies, Maximum Overdrive (the original not the remake) and many many more.

Just some randomness

I love pin-ups! I think they are beautiful curvey women...a true woman.

I love mysteries...I get that from my mom and watching movies like 'Murder on the Orient Express' and so on with her growing up.

I'm also interested in paranormal stuff. I have had a few experiances in my life and well I just like the fact that our loved ones who have passed may still be around us.

I also love stuff from the 1920's-1950's...some times I just wish I was born in those eara's.

Comment: Thanks for the photo PC of the old mailbox. I like the close-up so you can see the rust. I've been to one of those 'pioneer towns' before, but I think it was in Wyoming. It was a lot of fun seeing the shootouts! It's a small world that you have friends here in Ft Collins!
Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it! Maybe one day you can come visit Pioneer Town, CA. It's such an amazing little town with an awesome bar and grill. Anthony Bordain (?) from the travel ch actually did a show there.

Comment: Beautiful photo, it took me until just now to figure out the swap it came from, only was able to because my other partner just sent me regrets that she's late, etc.
Response: Oh sorry! I keep forgetting to put what swap things are from. I will have to try harder to remember that. I am glad you liked it!
