Update 4/19/2020

On November 24, 2019, I became a first-time grandma. Meet Ms. Amelia Kait:

Hi. I'm Susan. My Bday is September 25, 1972.

I'm a divorced mother of 3. I have a teenaged daughter who lives at home with me. My son is almost 20 and lives with his girlfriend and my eldest daughter is in her 20's and lives with her fiance and their baby Amelia.

I am an elementary school teacher.I teach 4th grade.

At one time I was extremely active on Swap-bot, but once I started teaching I limited most of my swapping to Summer and holidays. With the current Covid-19 situation and the stay at home orders in place, I have resumed my swapping for the time being.

I listen to so many different genres of music on any given day from contemporary Christian to Popular to Country to Rap. It depends on my mood.

I like all types of books. I like historical Christian romance quite a bit. I also enjoy Nora Roberts, Luanne Rice, Danielle Steel, etc... I love the all the books in the Twilight series and am about to start reading them again. *** My newest favorite authors are Beverly Lewis and Wanda Brunstetter*** I love reading the Amish Christian fiction a few years ago: last year discovered YA fiction and read the Hunger Games series and some other YA fiction that I really enjoyed. Update: I still like the books above but I recently read some Jodi Picoult that I really enjoyed. I don't have much time for fiction right now that I am teaching. I think reading fiction will be mostly a summer thing. 4/2017- I found another favorite author Robyn Carr- and I read fiction during the school year still. :-)

Twilight, The Thing Called Love, Stand By Me, Breakfast Club, The Notebook, Dirty Dancing, The Sound of Music, Frozen. (those are just some of my favorites)

Updated 4/19/2020: I have been binge-watching quite a bit lately. Some new finds: The Fosters, Umbrella Academy, Manifest, Outlander, Station 19, The Good Doctor, This is Us, Colony.

Past T.V. Shows I have enjoyed: Big Brother, Bacherlorette,Brothers and Sisters, How I met your Mother, House Hunters,Survivor, Revenge, The Walking Dead, Revolution. Update thanks to Netflix: The Secret Life of the American Teenager, The 100 and I cannot believe I did not have this listed already- Grey's Anatomy! 4/2017 a few new favorite tv shows. Timeless, Frequency and I just got hooked on Shameless. I am on season three on Netflix. It is so bad, it's good.

4/19/2020- The following are all some of the crafts I have enjoyed doing. I currently am not crafting that much. If anything I like to journal and may add doodles, etc. to that.

Scrapbooking- Update- just discovered Project Life ( I may get back into scrapbooking) ATC's (although I have not made any in awhile) Altered Journals Cross Stitch Just learning to sew Decoupage Drawing (beginner) Mail Art 4/2017- still love all of those things, just rarely have time. I discovered Bullet Journaling and do a modified version.

A- Artichokes, Art supplies, Art Journals, Aprons, especially vintage ones.

B - Bubble Baths, things to put in my bubble bath, Bible quotes, books books and more books.

C- Cute tiny things, Cadbuy Cream Eggs.

D- Disney (Minnie Mouse, Princesses), Dachshund dog items ( stickers, memo sheets, etc.)

E- Earrings, mine are pierced. Elephants, embroidery floss.

F- Fabric- little bits of it for my art journals.

G- Glue sticks, Gum (sweet mint or bubble gum flavor).

H- Happiness quotes.Hello Kitty, Hedgehogs.

I- Inchies

J- Japanese papers, Journals-blank.

K- Kawaii- any.

L-Letters, handwritten or typed.

M- Minnie Mouse and cute Mice things, Mid-Century Modern style anything.

N- Note cards( cute,funny, vintage, can be a little offensive)

O- Ocean

P- Pennies, squished in those machines. Papers, especially vintage or mail themed, Postcards used and unused, Pen-pals, Pink the color and the musical artist, Pens especially sharpies.

Q- Things with the word QUEEN on them.

R- Rainbows, Raisinette candy.

S- Scrapbook stuff, stamps used and unused. Snail Mail Stamp ( I am looking for a cute rubber stamp with a snail on it)

T- Tea pots and cups, Tea related anything, Tea, especially Early Grey, Teacher related things.

U- quirky Umbrellas

V- Victorian images

W-Watermelon

X-

Y-

Z- Zoo Animals, Zombies

4/19/2020- I am not really collecting anything right now. I am trying to limit the "stuff" in my life. If a swap calls for sending something, then my ABC's of me section might give you some ideas.

If you are going to send extras I would prefer things that I can use in other swaps, like notecards, postcards, stickers to use as decorations, etc. Thanks.

Thai Artichokes Swedish Pancakes Sushi

Dislikes: mushroom (the food) but I think mushroom stickers are kind of cute.

Other food dislikes are anything sweet mixed with nuts- I like some nuts separate but never mixed with something like chocolate or ice cream. (occasionally I will eat a snickers bar- but that is it.)
